  1. As an avid fan you I won't ever think that you should stop working on your book, but as I've gotten to know you, I have no doubt that you'll also make time to review the materials for the test. You always seem to fit far more than 24 hours into your day! You continue to inspire me! Love, Loey
  2. Quick update: Superman is still waiting to hear about the medical monitoring position in Hartford with on- the- job training. The manager approved him and his contact there said HR is drawing up four new contracts. Hopefully DH is among them. He interviewed for a program at Boston's Children's Hospital on Wednesday (thank God he wasn't in Boston on a...
  3. Yay for the turkeys!!!!! Amen! Vincent- you always succeed at whatever you decide to tackle. I KNOW you will all get your Second Yellow and we're proud of you all!!!
  4. Hope everyone and their families are alright. I can't believe what happened in Boston. Sending lots of extra positive energy, healing (((hugs)), prayers and love to all my dearest psillies and your families/loved ones, Loey
  5. Hello dearest psillies, I hope this finds you all doing well (or headed in that direction). Some of you received this from me via email. It's is a link to an interesting article. Love & healing (((hugs))), Loey It isn't practical for most of us but worth reading nonetheless: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-altucher/10-reasons-to-quit...
  6. Hope you're hanging in there. Sending extra positive energy & healing (((hugs))) to you and Jacquie (and all dear psillies). BTW, your brother's books look very interesting. Will check them out at some point. Love, Loey

  8. Loved this!!!!!! Now I don't have to pretend it's just forgetfulness! Gotta love all my dear psillies for keeping me smiling & sane!! Hmmm....You'll get back to homeschooling Timothy, going to school, being a minister, and writing the next excellent book in your series. Sounds like you still have a full plate! YAY!!! You go dear...
  9. HOPPY EASTER/PASSOVER/OTHER CELEBRATIONS!!!!! I hope everyone traveling has a safe trip and that you are surrounded by those you hold most dear. Love & (((hugs))), Loey
  10. I think Rob did do receipt return. If the appeal gets turned down I'm sure we'll go to the office (or maybe see a lawyer). It was on retirement money we withdrew for DS' tuition. It is not supposed to be penalized. Hopefully we won't! Thanks for the great advice and the continuous support. This forum is a family and a lifeline! Love you all, Loey
  11. Thanks girlfriend! I'll keep that in mind if they don't agree with the documentation. He had until April 24th to respond and he sent off the documents two days ago. I would have sent them receipt return but I've learned that I'm better off not giving him suggestions right now. I think he's got PTSD after going through the last 4 years. I know that when my...
  12. It should be all right. Just a headache. We took retirement money (oy vey) to pay for some of Tony's tuition this year. There shouldn't be a penalty when it's for college. The interview with HR was a phone interview and they called an hour and a half late and talked to him for 5 minutes. He thinks he'll get the job but until it's offered he's not banking...
  13. I was planning on writing emails to the people at the meeting to thank them for including me. Is that too much? It's normally automatic for me to do that but as I said I want to tread lightly.
  14. Thanks for the sweet words. Sorry about the car trouble. I keep needing tires. Perhaps I should avoid curbs . I'd be willing to be fingerprinted again. I brought them my NJ Teacher Certificates for Elementary & SPED. I'm also certified in RI and had my fingerprints taken when I applied for reciprocity. When I mentioned helping with their homework...
  15. So sorry about your car. Try to hang in there and have faith. I really do believe with my heart and soul this will be a good year for all of us (eventually)! All is not rosy yet but I still have faith. We just got a bill from the IRS that we owe taxes from 2 years ago. Rob is dealing with it through paperwork but you can only imagine the mood he was in when...
  16. Well I just retuned from the IEP meeting and boy North Stonington is even less welcoming than Westerly! Selia only tested at a D level on the DRA which is early kindergarten (she's 12). I did get to meet with the principal and superintendent before the meeting and evidently Selia's mom, Nikki, never filed the yearly required homeschool paperwork with the...
  17. I prefer "that's our loey" to our neighborhood label of "the unemployed-sickly couple." I have to attend an IEP meeting for the girl I tutor today and only had 2 days notice to prepare. Selia's mom is a lose cannon so I told her to let me talk. She's got a chip on her shoulder about public schools and has already gotten off to a rocky start with Selia...
  18. So proud of you Vincent!!!!!! Sorry about the snow. Hugs, Loey
  19. Update: I've been offline due to a weird medical condition (what other kind do I get?). As some of you already knowI had a serious UTI that went undiagnosed for 3 weeks (hospital lost my paperwork) so I was on two different antibiotics for 12 days. I assumed my problems were a yeast infection but it turned out to be an allergic reaction to something. Needless...
  20. Oh my goodness, you make my past health issues look like a cakewalk! Good riddance to Harold! You deserve all the good luck and happiness in the world (as do all our psillies)! They say that what doesn't kill us makes us strong and you must be Herculean at this point! I'm proud to know you (and all the heroes & heroines I've met here)! I'll continue to...
  21. HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!! MAY THE LUCK OF THE IRISH BE WITH US ALL (we're all Irish today aren't we?) Today is the one day a year I can eat at our Irish Deli. Their Corn-beef & Cabbage isn't cross contaminated and I can tolerate it! Love & Shamrocks, Loey
  22. Loved the clips - thanks for finding the time to share! Hugs & Shamrocks, Loey
  23. As always you continue to accomplish more in a 24 hour period than anyone I know. I agree about posting a clip for your biggest fans (us psillies of course). Hugs, Loey
