About Me

I am a proud Mommy of a beautiful lil princess :) She arrived at a healthy 9lbs 4oz and stayed in the 98 percentile until she went strictly on table food, at that point she dropped to 48 percentile. 3 visits to the ER and 1 extended hopsital stay for the "flu" and I finally got my referral to a GI Specialist. She was diagnosed through blood work and a biopsy last March. The signs were there probably from 6 months on. I believe trough research her extended hospital stay was not the flu but something I have read that can happen to Celiacs, called Celaic shock. She has adjusted to the diet well and has learned to ask Mommy or Daddy before eating anything. We are still learning and luckily we have a Wegmans nearby!

  1. I just found that also It is awesome! Thank you. I am making two folders one for classroom and one for lunch room
  2. Hi, my 3 yr old will be starting a 2 day a week pre k program from 9 to 3. They will be served breakfast, lunch, and a snack. They are being awesome and are willing to purchase/provide gluten-free substitues for my daughter. I just was wondering if their was a print out available to send to her school that would make sense and explain what she can & cant...
  3. I made sugar cookies that taste like normal cookies, maybe even better, Is it possible she mail ordered the flours? Were they cut outs? Id be afraid to eat any gluten-free cut outs if someone was making another batch of gluten cut outs at the same time.
  4. My DD gets routine blood work drawn per her GI. She was diagnosed last March. It is to test her levels to help us with her diet and make sure her levels are decreasing. My daughter only has 2 classic symptons, only constipation and irritablitly (although she is 3 so sometimes she is just acting 3 ) I hate to put her through the extra pokes (we are due this...
  5. O my... Your poor baby I was in your shoes exactly last year at this time. My daughter was 2 and all her blood work came back positive. Her symtoms however were not that bad, so I chose to keep her on the gluten diet until her biopsy. However It sucked everyday! Id feed her mac n cheese and cry (even though she didnt actually eat it, she didnt eat a thing...
  6. We are a family of four and luckily just my 3 year old is gluten free. I am however heavily considering turning our whole house gluten-free. We however are lucky to live in WNY (we have Wegmans) They have the speciality gluten-free isle, however on any of their Brand items they list initial for allergans on front of packacges ex (G is gluten free) so while...
  7. Thank you, I called on her Johnsons the other day and got a much better reply . Hey Johnsons is half the cost of their 10.50 lotion anyway
  8. Ive been going through every lotion, shampoo makeup ect trying to figure out what my 3 yr old may be reacting from. I noticed on Bath & Body Works anti bac they clearly list wheat in ingrediants. Ive researched many threads on here and have mainly noticed to be on the look for certain ingrediants but have been curious on many saying ditch the bath and...
  9. people don't get it. Its sad. Even those that do actually try still mess up. I personally love my "non doctor" family members that "inform" me that CC is not a problem and I should chill out and use their glutenated collander to drain my daughters pasta. Umm No thanks. I just take mental notes of those that argue with me on how to feed my girl and remind...
  10. I feel this frustration. My daughter is 3 1/2 years old, has been gluten free for a year. She understands to a point and is learning the cc of celiac disease. Just today at her dance party she was sitting with her pre prepared plate from home of goodies and another kid took their cookie and did "cheers" to my daugters gluten-free cookie, she just looked at...
  11. 1st Gluten Free Christmas for my Princess

  12. My daughter was diagnosed at 2.5 yrs. This was just about a year ago. It is so hard to tell when she has had gluten because she doesnt verbally tell us. I think this is because maybe she is just used to her belly hurting? I do notice things though esp in her behavior. For example she can change from my sweet cuddley daughter to the incredible hulk so fast...
  13. I know you want to keep cost down for an entire class, but what I do for my daughter and her dance parties (she is 3) Is I buy a bag of gluten free pretzel twists and rolos. I put the pretzel with a rolo on top and put in the oven for 1 min (350) press the rolo down with another pretzel and you have a quick allergy friendly snack My nephew is allergic to...
  14. I had emailed them when my daughter was diagnosed and they replied it is gluten free. Also Crest kids is
