  2. After having surgery, all those meds and spending the night in the hospital it is back to safe meals only for awhile . Browned ground lamb,cooked organic brown rice stir fried with red onion in olive oil with a side of fresh organic peaches I am in safe meal HEAVEN

  5. fried sweet potatos with lots and lots of butter and cherries for desert
  6. I havent eaten meat in awhle but all this talk of lamb reminded me how much my body likes lamb. I could not find any ground lamb so I picked up some lamb shoulder cuts and put it in the crock pot. ( the only way I can eat meat if it is not ground up is to slow cook it untill it falls apart ) To go with it ,I am thinking some rice sauteed with red onion...
  7. note to self :: put ground lamb on shopping list Lamb ( and rice) saved me when I could eat nothing ( and I do mean NOTHING) else and is still my most favorite safe meal .

  13. For me gluten ( and soy) has caused "brain" issues. My neurologist stopped short of diagnosing ataxia mainly because she could not believe my issues were caused by soy ( I had only been gluten free for about 8 months at the time) . All I know is when I am glutened or ingest soy I have memory/ataxia/ brain issues .

  16. I agree the Betty Crocker gluten free brownie mix is really good. Unfortunately I had to stop using it when I when soy free.
  17. My previous PCP definition of GERD ; Your digestive track is raw from your mouth to your rectum and I dont know why :P :lol: ,
  18. I agree he should have all the celiac testing before going gluten free. And ( after going gluten free ) have other testing done to be sure what else ( if anything ) is going on. I felt the same way I wanted to make sure there was nothing else going on,, truth is celiacs rarely stands alone,, there are other Autoimmune diseases that go hand and hand...
  19. I am not "officially" diagnosed with Gluten ataxia, I went gluten free before my neurologist could make an "official" diagnoses, but as far as she and I are concerned I have gluten ataxia. Many of my symptoms have resolved since going gluten free but some of the damage may be permanent .
  20. This ↑ is the truth your brother needs to hear. Many of us can tell him our storys,( if he really wants to hear it have him PM me I will be glad to tell him my story ) but " just try the damn diet" is all he really needs to hear. If he is not convinced have him Google "gluten ataxia" that may get his attention.
  21. I am still recovering from a food reaction earlier this week so I am still eating my SAFEST meal. Ground lamb and rice.
