I was kidding about the pasta every Wed. thinger anyway. I had to go a long long time without sauce (all that "GERD" and all) Tonight's looking like pork tenderloin with an easy fig jam and mustard glaze, sweet potato for J and "zoodles.". I just saute them quickly in EVOO and herbs. I'm cutting back on carbs and (ahem) ge-lahh-to. Still lovin those... -

Pork ragout with taglietelle. (but not in the crock pot) The jovial brand is pretty terrific. I mean, even the foodies at America's Test Kitchen rave about it--and they're WEs. A review from Cook's Illustrated: "Winner: Jovial Gluten Free Brown Rice Pasta, Spaghetti Thanks to a relatively high combined total of fiber and protein and a low, slow... -

Have to reply to myself because all joking aside, my man is wonderful about taking care of business. Multi-talented, he does electrical, plumbing, woodworking, fixes cars (HUGE motor head! he had a '68 corvette when we met and he let me drive it!!) and he does fix everything. He taught me how to lay hardwood floors, plus our beautiful slate floors back... -

Thanks to the Mex cartels and crap weather. The fruit stand peeps (who get some of their produce from there) are none too thrilled. I've been getting 4 for a buck until last week. One is now .79 and J had to squeeze that sucker with pliers to get anything out of it. -

DItto I was thinkin.....if you use triple sec, you would not need "orange cake mix" as I would think that would be "orangey" enough. There's always orange extract??. and for the love of mike, you chicks are killin me with the cakes....I'll just have the Rita as we call them 'round here. Hand made, no mixes, the old fashioned way. -

Maybe you could make it a leisurely trip for you and the hubs some day, hon. The food is excellent and they really are celiac-friendly. It's worth it to go and have a cocktail, relax and dine without holding your breath in the entire time worrying it's going to bite you on the arse later. -

I just came back from dinner at Bonefish grill. I love going there, they always take good care of me. A great place for gluten-free SAFE dining. After I ordered, she asked “do you want bread?” I looked at her like she had a trout swimming out of her forehead. “Bread? why would I want that, hon? I told you, I have celiac” Giving her my best smile…. She s... -
That may be true (all things seem possible, I suppose) but the fact remains. No gluten in the product. People who are very sensitive to gluten are saying "I have used it and it's not a problem" We could argue "possibilities" all day long", I suppose. But I'm not willing to do that. I gave up arguing. It's great for reducing stress.

Addy is giving you the plain truth.. "The number one frequently asked question concerns vinegar. All vinegars except for malt vinegar are gluten-free.
