  1. Awesome heat pads and an awesome MT/PT who knows how to make muscles feel better (after she beats me up) lol Pineapple, is not a veggie, You know this, young lady, but I'll cut you some slack because the weather situ is scary. Always, always have booze on hand for basement hiding. The only way I managed to get through the tornado that came through NY...
  2. Made Ski's suggestion for the crock pot balsamic pork and sweet potato fries. Not doing well the past 4 days. Serious neck pain.... and headaches. erg long story, but through no one's fault, I was glutened at a place I have come to trust. Innocent mistake on the server's part and I forgave her. She was so upset, I felt so bad for her. Anyway, as per...
  3. K Are you okay? watching the national news and the weather report sounds ominous. xxG
  4. Yep, we eat, we drink, we tell stories, we encourage, we chat. We're "having dinner" with friends. I'll be doing roasted chicken, risotto, roasted asparagus today. Ok, there may be some vodka involved but no creepy guys in undies. Well, none that I don't know anyway. Happy Sunday, peeps. SKI tell D I think he's da bomb. and nice...
  5. lol Ski has a buttload of emails to read, I am thinking she'll be thinking holy crappers never shoulda gone off for the day. The HOA here would frown on Colonel Underpants for sure.... but since he is a veteran, I'd cut him some slack. I'd salute him if I were you. Perhaps he'll salute you back < Nothing wrong with walking outside in one...
  6. ...and here i thought you lived in a sleepy Kansas town. You actually live in Melrose Place. (and for the love of mike, I HOPE it's boxers too)
  7. ooh! ooh!....I think someday you should go outside and salute him. ( I know I would! ) yes, Florida people are very relaxed. I met a woman the other day wearing her bathing suit in the grocery store. (the beach is 5 miles away) honestly, she should not have been wearing a 2 piece bathing suit, period, but she was happy Jiggling herself throughout...
  8. lmao the trouble with reading too much of that STUFF is you become afraid of eating/drinking anything. We should live like my maternal Grandfather--he was 92 when he died. Except for a few cataracts and angina, the guy was fine. He ate what he wanted. period. he ate stuff like steaks, raw oysters, gobs of butter, cheese, heavy cream, ice cream every day...
  9. kitties have major healing powers. a "good colon" is a happy colon. and if'n yer going for fried balls, you're feeling mighty good post "procedure". so glad from what I have read (there I go again!) palm oil has debatable health benefits and the jury is still out http://content.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,2115331,00.html
  10. thank God for sweatpants & gym shorts, baby! lmao.
  11. I have a 3 ring binder for "gluten-free recipes"--- i.e. baked goods and my old binder which I have had for YEARS which contains everything else. Plus a bunch of recipe books, magazines and a big ole file folder marked "try these". Margarita dinner --whoohooo!! Gimme one! Gimme one! cheers, babe.
  12. um, yeah, I think some of us can. I just LOOKED at Jamie's donut picture and my pants split..my zipper expanded and the top button flew across the room and hit Bella in the leg. She jumped up on the table and broke a lamp. Thanks, Jamie.
  13. life without mayo? even homemade mayo ? sorry K. well, how about this, then? http://picky-palate.com/2014/01/08/skinny-greek-yogurt-chicken-salad/
  14. (Bella helps me type too. If I ever say anything stoopit, it's her, not me.) That flatbread idea is great. I got a small bag of ADDY's flour (yes, it's called that now) so I may give it a whirl. I'm going to try that pork recipe myself this weekend. It's your fault I now own two slow cookers. I actually say "Karen made me buy this bigger one " . ...

  17. yeah, that "stuff " is always good on the side. I like the looks of that recipe, ski! Yaay for bagel-tolerating. whoohoo! I decided against split pea soup and decided in favor of black bean soup. The great thing is, J does not care either way. He's very easy to cook for--except when it comes to fish. He does not do fish. (shellfish, yes. fish, no...
  18. Cake! cake! who's got cake? did I hear cake mentioned? because you know I love cake....cake is good...
  19. Sometimes, it is best to just let them take over for the day. I watched a boatload of movies and TV shows today and I suspect all will be better tomorrow. PS to Arlene....hang in there dollface. You're gonna be hungry tomorrow afternoon. I'd start with a big honkin bowl of gelato.
  20. Addy, Those Ore Ida simply sea salt fries--awesome in a pinch! enjoy Mom and Aunt Jane both got their heat packs and their necks love them. I have been using two non stop. lol I am not feeling well at all, so J made me a pancake. He's very good at those. He got us a brand new BBQ today. We need so many other things (gutters, overhead fans, etc...
  21. We are jambom-intolerant, toots! argh (although UNCURED ham --or any uncured meats. like bacon, etc.--does not bother me...Ergo, it's the crap they put in it) I love to use "ergo" .
  22. le jambon has given me swollen eyelids and a headache (and I am too tired to parlez that en francaise. ) Stoopid jambon. That bone will make a yummy pea soup for J tomorrow. Mother has returned to Boston and as sad as I am to see her depart, it will be good to have spices, herbs, onions, garlic back in the repertoire. I think she adopted...

  24. Mais oui! The accent was what you questioned? not if he wears a beret? (because what does the English speaking Easter bunny SAY, Coll? Do tell us. lmao Hey, my cat plays scrabble and wins...anything is possible, right?
