When I did that a while back, I ripped the ligaments up pretty good, Ski. ICE IT off and on all day. ELEVATE means sitting still. Mine took a long time to heal, but the ice helped. Doc said it would have been easier if I HAD broken it and he could have put a cast on it. After a few days, the PT had me doing ice one minute, heat one min. , ice heat ice... -

okay okay! rather than have my 87- year- old Mom strip-searched (although who knows, she may get a kick out of it--maybe I should have asked her "hey Ma, wanna carry some flour and get fondled?" She's going to laugh at this convo, BTW) I just ordered a small bag from my pal ama zon to make sure I like it first. Dinner tonight will be: Spag and... -

I was raised Catholic but I never even heard of them and would have laughed out loud at "nun's farts" and be sent to confession and given nine Hail Mary's and nine Our Father's...no doubt. -

PS This conference thinger is a very big deal for ole Irish--- to be traveling by herself again to someplace new --because for a long time, I was too sick to drive anywhere. My brain was too foggy, my reflexes were shot and my muscles and joints hurt so much that even turning the wheel was painful. That's the truth. but that was then and this is now... -

I can't do most drugs (codeine makes my heart thud out of my chest and causes nausea and the whirlies, sedatives make me hyper and anxious(I live in opposite world, apparently), anesthesia?--barf-o-rama later... and you should see me if you give the control button on the morphine drip. If there were gluten in wine or distilled alcohol, I'd be dead by now. I echo everyone else's advice. Wait a bit longer before indulging. Your gut may still be raw. I had to wait a long time before I could enjoy it again after diagnosis. (and for the 3 years before it, I was too sick to indulge.) I'm sort of making up for lost time. Just had a fabulous... -

Good luck with the surgeries, you guys! Just FYI, I have had both of these procedures. In the old days (when dinosaurs roamed) GB surgery was more complicated. I've got a 9 inch zipper beginning under my sternum and taking a right at my belly button. The hyster zipper goes perpendicular. I'm a big ole giant scar fest, combined with the shoulders and breast... -

Chill, if this encourages you in anyway, I have been low histamine for over a year and half and I can announce with pride that I ate msg-free corned beef for 2 days and....nothing happened. I also had lasagne, red wine, some applegate farms salami and hard cheese this week and .....still, no symptoms....!! so, if you remove the high histamine foods, faithfully... -

Addy, Sorry about the kitty. Bella kitty and I send big hugs to you and D. It's never easy when this happens. sigh Last night's dinner was the "Well, your company has left, but as usual, you have a lot of food still in the fridge so you better eat it" extravaganza. Turned all the stuff in the deli and veggie drawer into an antipasta and made... -

Last night we had pork tenderloin and onions, sauteed zucchini noodles, applesauce and these teeny tiny golden potatoes (i have never seen them that small before--they were at the produce stand we have down here--really, they look like marbles ) anyhoo... Sorry, hon...I was pretty sure you would find that to be the case, but we do not discourage experimentation on this thread. Sadly, some things just cannot be "turned into tortillas". Ah well, you tried. I know you say you cannot have corn, but why can't you make rice flour tortillas? does something in those cause a problem too? (not sure of where... -
