  1. Oh, that sounds like heaven in the mouth!! We're having Greek salad in a wrap (because I have so much chicken and feta cheese and grilled veggies to use up) with a side of fresh corn (and because it is a bazillion degrees outside and I ain't cooking!) Going out to do some pool exercises and get all hot and stuff. .
  2. Someone on here sent me that article a while ago and my hands look like that too, but no one else I know has a shorter baby finger.. (but I have tiny toes too. the second one it small, unlike other people whose second toe is longer) I just thought I was weird.
  3. oooh, yeah, that possibly food-flavored recycled water is a "non-rog" when doggies are around Sorry, kiddo.
  4. Local farm finally has corn! yaay! summer has arrived !! Dinner tonight: corn on the cob roasted chicken with lemon/thyme encore potatoes gratin (from Friday's dinner party) and there's a huge carrot cake cupcake with cream cheese frosting in the fridge we can split for dessert My friend makes them at her G F bakery and when she says...
  5. Carolina KIP!! How nice to "see you" again!!! Arlene...safe journey, sweets!!. Go to a Bonefish Grill in NJ. Never had a problem there. Had company tonight. I'm beat...but at least I think I am done feeling crappy from the tick bite, the chipmunk bite, the vaccine, the antiBees and the muscle spasms all that toxicity caused. so,, whoohoo! ...
  6. I could eat a Greek salad every night and not complain. YUMSTERS!!! I wish I could cook my butt off, too. Anyone who says "I went on a gluten-free diet to lose weight"...isn't truly one of us. Hey, we could do all of SKI's dishes and work off some butt- age.
  7. It was delicious. I was not ignoring you, sweets....I simply could not get on the site. Some computer glitch and I did not want you to think I was being rude. I did answer you via email, but you may not have seen it yet. And, I seem to have rallied from the bites, their treatments and I was going to say all's well, except the hubs got a tick bite too. Epidemic...
  8. hmmm..... caprese salad...why that sounds like "brain screaming yum"! ....who would have ever thought of that brilliant idea?
  9. My basil plant is going nuts, (but the pineapple mint and chocolate mint are even crazier--wow!) so while I was in the pool, I decided to make this tonight instead: spaghetti in lemon cream and basil
  10. I just go round and round until I am bored with it , then I stand in front of the return hose from the filter where the water shoots out ......I have it slanted up a bit.....and it serves as a jacuzzi jet on my back and neck. . a poor people backwoodsy jacuzzi hahaha
  11. Oh, mine still has plenty to say.....he just says it AFTER he just does not question it anymore because whatever it is, I'm probably gonna do it anyway..
  12. I'm doing a chicken on the rotisserie. It's hot here and I am not very hungry. I think maybe some broccoli slaw and perhaps....sauteed kale. I am going out to walk around the pool backwards. Don't laugh. The PT and the trainer at the gym recommend it for balance and toning the abs and core and make my buns steely. I look silly, I am sure, but...
  13. thanks for making me shoot seltzer water out of my nose. gazundheit! I learned a long time ago from being around an Armenian Gramma and a French Grammy, her Greek friends, the Italians and Germans in our ethnically mixed neighborhood....... if anyone gives you awesome ethnic food, just EAT IT!! It's gonna be awesome! That's it. That's...
  14. Thanks, guys. I always appreciate the lovins. and that pizza was awesomely scrumptious. I also had wine. so far, so good.
  15. .....that's because they are encores ! (or I guess, "recycled" is okay) Leftovers just sounds so "sad" to me. I admit to liking Pellegrino water and occasionally, I have seen cases of it on sale at BJs. (not sure if you have access to one of those?). or 12-packs on a ma zon for a reasonable price. I love beet greens (well, ALL greens, really) and...
  16. We've got it, but I hate it. I'm with Arlene......I like wide open windows.
  17. Hon, the vast majority of bottled spaghetti sauce is gluten free as far as I know. It's tomatoes, basil, oregano. Classico, Newman's Own, etc. Just look at the ingredient list and if you do not see wheat listed, you're good. Still flagging a bit here so I am KISS. Turkey burgers, roasted asparagus, mixed fruit salad. Note to self: Hullo...
  18. Took out some sirloin for dinner. Figure out the rest later...Not much of an appetite. I have a fever, really stiff and sore joints and awful nausea. Like I have been hit by a truck. Apparently, (according to the doc & the CDC pamphlet he gave me) 1 in 100 adults get this reaction after a tetanus/pertussis shot. dang, why do I have to be the 1? stoopid...
  19. whey is gluten free. It's a dairy by-product. .
  20. that's what my cat Bella did, too.
  21. this is me, too....! why, we're all a bunch of cleaner-uppers today....
  22. Meanwhile, your friend Irish was crying like a baby over that stupid chipmunk who ( & the hubs has pointed this out 47 times) is probably fine,.if he scampered off, I must have gotten him loose enough. Thanks, Ski for the extra hugs via email. I get very emotional about wounded animals, regardless of their place on the food chain. I even take bugs...
  23. I was typing when you were typing, sorry Addy...and ((hugs))
  24. wish I had a video of me trying to wrestle that chipmunk and saying "come on little dude, I am trying to help you... fah cryin out loud! my Bostonian comes out when I am all agitated. of course, I wish I had video of me rescuing the chiipmunk my Maeve (previous cat) had in her mouth in OUR LIVING ROOM (that chipmunk's eyes were the size of saucers)LOL...
  25. Here's one for you....I go outside to rescue a chipmunk who has caught himself up in the netting around the blueberry bushes that is there to keep the birds away. He has gotten the netting wrapped around his neck and his legs--like he is hogtied. And he is squealing like mad. I go back inside, grab scissors & run (I know, I know ) and get him...
