  6. What. She. Said. (yeah, I do not give a flying fig what anyone thinks of my "eccentricities" anymore. One of the perks of getting older. ) And "good on you" as my friend says.... for getting back on the machine. yep, that folate deficiency was a real energy zap on me. Glad you are feeling better!
  7. Same here. Without him, we both would have starved. He carried the burden for a long time. He can do it, but I am the "better cook" he says. (I am. That's da truth, ) I went to the gym again today, Ski. So far, so good. I cannot begin to express my sheer joy at being able to use my muscles again--the same ones that were once so weak, bordering...

  10. Well, I was laughing and smiling with you too ( the hubs said he could hear me in the other room) I figure, whenever anyone laughs, it's always a good thing. I have become an emoticon thief, liberally pilfering from the internet. YOU. ARE. AMAZING. Keep up the great work. We all you.

  12. Oh yes. 2 weeks on this whole 30 plan and I saw a major difference. It was rocky at first, but now, I see: no more bloating and a weight loss (I suspect )and much better sleep. I also learned I have a histamine issue and I took those HH foods out which helped reduce the burning sensations in my skin and bones AND I learned that (and this is no surprise...
  13. ....hear that......starting to think the same thing here....
  14. If you start wanting things like moose brains, elmer's glue or bat guano, call me and I'll talk you out of it. I had to make my flourless chocolate ganache cake for my Mum's Birthday. It smells like heaven in here and I can't even have any of it....plus I have to eat out in two restaurants this weekend while traveling. Wish me luck--and a giant gluten...

  17. In a month or so. (..a few posts back I explained I had to cut out high histamine foods.) I had lamb patty and hubs had sausages. I had sweet potato and he had yukon golds. We both had asparagus. Someday soon, I hope we can both eat the same things once more. what a pain in the arse this is.

  19. I knew I could count on you for the "unicorns and rainbows shooting out of our butts" silver lining thinger. I can't have any shrooms right now (only you ) and I did use garlic and it turned out just fab. Hubs is a big beef and broc lover and gave me the "oh you can make this anytime, babe" line--which means "it's good" Thanks...
  20. Despite my frustration (! #%$#@! ) with having to go without high histamine foods (and if you saw the exclusionary list of foods, you'd wanna jump off a cliff) and no grains and no cheese, and NO BOOZE I am thinking that having this painiful burning skin and bones crisis was perhaps a good thing. It just hammered it home that even after 2 years...
