  1. You're so cute. I haven't posted a good bread recipe yet but have to get on it! It is my b'day today and DH is taking me to Edmonton (nearest city 3 hours away) for gluten-free shopping and to spoil me to bits. Have you tried adding unflavoured gelatin or psyllium fibre to your bread? I do not have a bread machine, either, but my KitchenAid mixer is a sturdy sucker. Will post soon. ...

  2. I have to show you my new avatar. I am going back to Chili Chinchilla but I wanted you to see this.

  3. I hope you have a speedy recovery. Nobody would ever believe the kind of pain I had. It is excruciating, at best. I am so sorry you have hurt like this.

  4. I'm glad my story made you hopeful. I'm hopeful that it continues lol So far so good!!

  5. I'm very excited for the SOY FREE Blue Diamond!!! I'll be reintroducing soy sometime this week probably to see whether I can have it or not...but if not SOY FREE BLUE DIAMOND!!! My fiance is currently drinking the shelf-bought Blue Diamond with soy lecithin that I bought before :P

  6. well, I must have been stressed every day for 3 years. (come to think of it, I was because I did not know what the heck was wrong with me) If you did tell the doctor, the first thing she'll suggest to you --after the shrug--is fibromyalgia. (a wide range diagnosis for muscle pain) I heard it frequently. One guy told me "it's fibro, even though I don...
  7. I used to enjoy massages for years until this burning set in. Now, it is just too abrasive. I have had trigger point massage MANY times by chiropractors, MTs, PTs, myofascial release therapist --(I even had rolfing--check that one out on google )... Plus, I learned how to do it and hubby does it for me, too.. YET I still have horrid knots and pain. They...
  8. I live.. in the middle of the prairies.. 1/2 way between Saskatoon and Calgary. I grew up here.. a farmers daughter. The irony.. unable to eat wheat!

  9. Coool... your my first friend! Our 1st meeting is March 28th. I am excited. This town has 5000 people and I keep hearing of more and more people with gluten problems.

  10. You got that right, sister!! oh, I intend to educate every single "medical professional" I saw in all the years of searching for answers (my story is really LONG and complicated) and not one of them helped....jerkwads ..... LOLLOL
  11. Thank you for accepting me! :)

  12. Thanks... it IS a bizarre feeling, I know; I have lots of bizarre symptoms (burning mouth, for example, among others ) Glad you are feeling better!!yaay!! No, you are not insane, I'm not insane (although I was pushed to the brink of insanity) NONE of us are insane...we are just not diagnosed properly AND LEFT TO WORRY ourselves insane. ...
  13. I have this scalp pain and weird sensation, too. I tell hubby I feel as if I am encased like a sausage..tight tight tight (it's the inflammation, I think)
  14. Thanks for this post, Pondy. I have asked others on here, but no one seems to have this pain except you guys. SG whiskers! This is so encouraging!! (I am actually crying with relief as I read this.) THIS IS ME!! I am in awful pain, especially my neck, shoulders, legs. It hurts to sit, stand, lie down. I BURN everywhere. The shirt on my back is painful...
  15. I think it expresses a lot of experiences others can relate to. Thank you for permission.

  16. It's under "How many people are actually self-diagnosed" and starts " I agree about the doctors and their lack of knowledge.

In 12+ YEARS of seeing doctors, specialists, having many tests run, scoped, prodded and poked, spending thousands and thousands of dollars ...developing a hundred or so bizarre and crippling symptoms, suffering multiple miscarriages, burning nuer...

  17. May I share one of your posts with the support group at our first meeting? We live in a very small town and my thought is that those who are enduring difficult times may not want to share. If I share a post or 2 from this site that talk about how it has been... they may feel understood and know it is a safe place... but not have to share if they don't want. What say you?

  18. Oh poo, I have tried to post a different photo but it isn't showing... not sure why. I can see it on my profile but not on the forum.

  19. You know, I think that has something to do with it. I have done a pile of reading about GMOs in the last day and, wow, what a can of worms that is. I hadn't really known what it was all about before now. I am going to be watching for soy now.. and some other things too. (Note - ma new chinny photo... )

  20. That's not a bunny... it's a chincilla.. but sometimes I call him a 'cute bunny'. They are sweet like bunnies.

Yes, the moderator told me too.. so something caused me to react to Tums.. but I don't know what.

  21. I saw your comment on one of the threads on being born on Thanksgiving...my husband was born on Thanksgiving 1973...Nov 22... loks like you guys share the same birthdate (maybe different years, but still, that's kinda cool!!)

  22. Thanks for the cyber ((HUG)) you made me smile Thank you :)

  23. thanks a bunch! I am thinking it is the FAT content issue as well. I am still healing.
  24. THANK YOU ALL for your responses! You guys are so great--especially with us "newbies" I THINK my problem is that I am still healing. The canola oil doesn't bother me all the time. I would think that if it were a real intolerance, I would react consistently. Grateful for your input!!
  25. I will give it up and see how I feel. Love your signature, BTW...Janis was a force of nature!
