  1. My son had HSP when he was 14. A long drawn out episode. Prednisone didn't work, so he took injections of methotrexate. At the time he had to deal with painful intermittent stomachaches from the HSP and the metho. The HSP went into remission 14 months after the first onset. Off the meds, he had 3 good months followed by 3 more months of illness/weight...
