Since it's so cold out we decided to make chicken noodle soup. It's also one of our simple, don't have to stand in the kitchen meals. I took the chicken and browned it in olive oil on the stove, then cut it up and added it to a pot with salt, pepper, garlic, onion and enough water to make the amount of broth we want. Let that simmer for about 20 min.... -

Boneless pork spareribs...hubby put them in a frying pan with some extra virgin olive oil, garlic, onion, salt and pepper. After they were down he added some broccoli florets to cook and we will serve it over white rice. If the little one doesn't like the broccoli I may put a sprinkle of melted cheese over it to see if she likes that. -

She did really well on the cake She was so proud that she made it (mostly) by herself for her daddy and that she had even come up with the egg substitution by herself. The best part was that even with no eggs it solidified for her and had the consistency of pumpkin pie. -

Thanks! She is in the kitchen with us all the time. We are really big on cooking in our family, my husband and I both love to cook and I was on my way to culinary school before we started our family. -

Tonight I'm making roast beef and smashed potatoes for my husband and I'm also going to try the flourless chocolate banana cake from Elana's Pantry. It turned out that I am not the one making the cake tonight, my 5 year old wanted to try and read the recipe and make it for her daddy. I think it's kind of funny that she is learning to read by reading recipes... -

Leftover roast beef, probably smashed potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper and maybe some leftover carrot fries and I am going to attempt to make my husband mac n cheese with the Tinkyada elbows and extra sharp white cheddar cheese and no cows milk, lucky I love him because I have a feeling it will take a while to get right. -

We make ours by cutting up baby carrots (you can use regular too) and putting some olive oil and seasoning on them. In an earlier post I think I said that I put salt, pepper, brown sugar and cinnamon...it's all to taste. Then bake at 350 til the carrots are tender and slightly brown, I think it took about 20 min in my oven. -

Tonight is going to be a clean out the fridge and add pasta to it night. I think I have turkey bacon, onion, garlic cloves, carrots, fresh basil, chicken and one apple left. I will probably sautee it all with a little bit of olive oil and add it to Tinkyada penne. -
