  1. Tonight is rice noodles with homemade meat sauce and garlic bread wedges (used the Schar pizza crust and topped with olive oil, rosemary and garlic).
  2. Oh I miss pierogis so much and those look so delicious. Could you share how you made them?
  3. Beef soup (beef, potatoes and carrots) and salad tonight.
  4. Tonight we are making what my daughter calls crumbly burgers (browned and seasoned ground beef mixed with cheese and ketchup) and oven fries. Extremely simple kid friendly meal since my husband and I have been running around getting registered for college classes which start tomorrow
  5. Yes you can get just the noodles. Mine were Annie Chun's brand.
  6. You're welcome. Hope you enjoy! It's 27 here and extremely windy so the wind is just cutting right through the apartment
  7. Since it's so cold out we decided to make chicken noodle soup. It's also one of our simple, don't have to stand in the kitchen meals. I took the chicken and browned it in olive oil on the stove, then cut it up and added it to a pot with salt, pepper, garlic, onion and enough water to make the amount of broth we want. Let that simmer for about 20 min....
  8. Boneless pork spareribs...hubby put them in a frying pan with some extra virgin olive oil, garlic, onion, salt and pepper. After they were down he added some broccoli florets to cook and we will serve it over white rice. If the little one doesn't like the broccoli I may put a sprinkle of melted cheese over it to see if she likes that.
  9. I made a pot roast in the crock pot with baby carrots tonight and served it over smashed potatoes...simple comfort food
  10. She did really well on the cake She was so proud that she made it (mostly) by herself for her daddy and that she had even come up with the egg substitution by herself. The best part was that even with no eggs it solidified for her and had the consistency of pumpkin pie.
  11. Thanks! She is in the kitchen with us all the time. We are really big on cooking in our family, my husband and I both love to cook and I was on my way to culinary school before we started our family.
  12. Tonight I'm making roast beef and smashed potatoes for my husband and I'm also going to try the flourless chocolate banana cake from Elana's Pantry. It turned out that I am not the one making the cake tonight, my 5 year old wanted to try and read the recipe and make it for her daddy. I think it's kind of funny that she is learning to read by reading recipes...
  13. Thank you:) It's even better in her voice since she is just learning how to talk and has all those adorable little mispronunciations.
  14. Tonight we are finishing up leftovers from this weekend and for tomorrow my little one gets to pick since it is her 2nd birthday! I asked her want she wanted and she said she wants tanksgivin So tomorrow we will be having turkey, cranberry sauce, smashed potatoes, cornbread stuffing and probably carrots. Now I just need to figure out what to give...
  15. Leftover roast beef, probably smashed potatoes with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper and maybe some leftover carrot fries and I am going to attempt to make my husband mac n cheese with the Tinkyada elbows and extra sharp white cheddar cheese and no cows milk, lucky I love him because I have a feeling it will take a while to get right.
  16. We make ours by cutting up baby carrots (you can use regular too) and putting some olive oil and seasoning on them. In an earlier post I think I said that I put salt, pepper, brown sugar and cinnamon...it's all to taste. Then bake at 350 til the carrots are tender and slightly brown, I think it took about 20 min in my oven.
  17. I love carrot fries!!! We usually make them with salt, pepper, brown sugar and cinnamon. What did you put on them?
  18. Garlic and rosemary crusted pork loin and rice "stuffing", figured we should try it before the holidays come around.
  19. Thank you! Happy Anniversary to you also, hope you had a great night.
  20. Tonight my husband and I are celebrating our 5th anniversary and are having dinner without the kids... Pesto Stuffed Mushrooms Balsamic and Rosemary Marinated Florentine Steak Hasselback Potatoes drink will be Ocean Spray Sparkling Cranberry Juice and Homemade Strawberry Sorbet for dessert
  21. My daughter wants to learn how to poach fruit so we are having pork chops with poached peaches for dinner and the only side dish she really likes to make is risotto so she wants to make that too.
  22. Tonight is going to be a clean out the fridge and add pasta to it night. I think I have turkey bacon, onion, garlic cloves, carrots, fresh basil, chicken and one apple left. I will probably sautee it all with a little bit of olive oil and add it to Tinkyada penne.
  23. Tonight we are making beef and broccoli with the broccoli sauteed in garlic, probably over rice.
  24. Tonight we are making taco burgers (corn chips instead of breadcrumbs and taco seasoning) and oven roasted fries.
  25. I only got as far as the meat and dessert for tonight. We are having ham for dinner, probably some kind of potato on the side with peach blueberry crumble for dessert.
