  1. Making mac and cheese tonight. Stomach decided that milk stuffs was okay. At any rate, I was going to go do some food shopping today, but the wind picked up like mad and started to spit snow.
  2. Caught a bug that was going around. I've still sort of got it. I wouldn't wish it on anyone. It'll be a week tommorow that i've had it. Though, i have been feeling better, my stomach is taking its sweet time.
  3. Soup for me: beef, cabbage, carrots, and maybe some pasta added in. Wishing my stomach would go back to normal.
  4. Depends on how i'm feeling if i make dinner at all
  5. You guys are probably reacting to something within the chex (see BHT). Its not really all that uncommon. Some can handle it, while others can't. Also, if you have a soy issue it should be avoided as well.
  6. ground beef stirfry maybe? Something lite? some veggies, ground beef, olive oil and a little salt and pepper should work on a, somewhat, agreeable stomach today.
  7. I'm sick of being sick My stomach has decided to rebel and give me "D" for the second day in a row. My head feels like its in a fog. My indigestion seems to think that its a wonderful time to act up. I keep going from hot to cold and back again. My throats sorta sore and red. yet.... above all.... I have no fever.... I had to avoid going to...
  8. There's a reason to love the wood stoves I kinda/maybe overcooked the pasta in my soup. Hard to tell really. It says not to, but i didn't see any difference. Maybe i hit it right on the mark? They were the ancient harvest quinoa shells by the way. I think it might be because they supposably desolve? Meh, no matter, still was good.
  9. Beef noodle soup. Its almost done
  10. Nothin' like getting up at 6am for class
  11. I'm up to walking about... what... 6-8 miles a week (monday through thursday, friday - sunday is dependent on what i'm doing or how i feel). I can't believe i can walk this much Basically, i just walk to the main area of my school and back. Its sort of a hilly climb so thats a plus.
  12. I layed out some ground beef... so i have no idea what i will do with it. I'll think of something.
  13. You guys are so helpful I love that smily In all seriousness, i do eat quite a bit of protien every day (anything from meat to peanut butter to cheese, etc). Yeah, i should have added the apples in. I wasn't up for standing there and slicing them. Excuses, I know, but hey it still tasted good.
  14. coffee cake was good, but its better with apples in it. On a random note, does not eating a lot of crunchy foods make your jaw sore? I've noticed this with a variety of things (beef and my crunchy topping on my cake to name two). It feels like i've gritted my teeth all day (which i probably was because i took my retainer out earlier). I'm not a big fan...
  15. I just made a coffee cake. I'm about to go cut into it. No dinner for me either
  16. Tomatos make my body feel like its on fire (mainly my head, neck, and sholders area). Went to the allergist, had the skin prick test done and found that it was one of the biggest reactions (hives) he saw from tomatos. So yep, none for me
  17. Yeah we got about 2 or 3 inches. Enough to make me go slipping and sliding. Soup again, the last of it. So heavenly. I'll have to pick up some more shell pasta for it now. It worked wonders! I cooked the pasta in the broth and it was heavenly (ancient harvest). I wouldn't do that with rice pasta though, i'd cook it seperate.
  18. Better idea, make your own chips. I've heard this item works well to make them: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=18545292 That way you can control what types of salt you use while still having your chips
  19. I certainly have. When i lived in MT it wasn't that uncommon to get it a few times a winter. I also experienced it a year and a half ago when i was still in the dorms at my school. Long story short, heat went out, then came back on a few hours later, then i heard a pop... ignored it... heard it again. I went to investigate and the sprinkler above my door...
  20. I finally figured out how to make the beef not so chewy. yay!
  21. Leftover soup. Today is a long school day, so no time to cook. It'll probably be better second day anyway.
  22. Its probably iodine if you're using the general everyday salt. I've seen other posters on here with iodine issues, they might chime in on this. However, you cannot completely cut it out because the human body requires it (to maintian blood is one of its uses i believe).
  23. So i am currently making the soup tonight... tossed some pasta in for just because reasons....
  24. Why is it i can eat apples that are: green, just right, and cooked with no problems. But once it gets to the "meely" stage... its a gamble
