  1. YES! I have this issue....My dr said CC....he instructed me not to eat out anymore and of course make sure i'm completely gluten-free. So, I've really been working hard to assure everything is safe but i'm still getting the headaches from time to time. The good news is i'm not waking up in the middle of the night w/ the headaches anymore. But the headaches i'm getting still from time to time usually start in the afternoon...

I take Motrin and try to rest is i'm able to do so.

I dunno what the real culprit is...sometimes I think stress can cause it, then I thought maybe i'm not getting enough water so i'm drinking more water...i'm still trying to figure it all out...

Keep us posted if you figure anything out and i'll do the same!

  2. YES, I agree w/ that statement...it was very appropriately priced in the catalog which is the only reason I was considering trying it out. I dunno...may just be easier to keep bying Food for Life bread and keep it simple. We'll see...

I don't really use to many bubblebaths (although it's on my "to do" list to check at the health food store to see if they have any gluten-free ones there). I've been using a few drops of tea tree oil or sometimes I use a few drops of AVEDA's Active. I like the menthal in that one and it helps w/ my sore muscles too. I'll post if I come across a good one! You do the same!

  3. Lister:

I understand what you are saying about not having a diagnosis for SSI.

Below is the link for Vocational Rehabilitiation. You don't have to have SSI to go there and talk w/ them.

    Open Original Shared Link

This link is for the entire state of Oregon. So you'll need to click on "Locations and Contacts" (it's the 3rd link down on the left hand side of the website, under MENU). Look to find the location closest to where you live and call them to arrange an appointment. Usually they will ask you a bunch of questions and evaluate you to see how they can best assist you.

    Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!

  4. So i'm lounging in my bathtub to ease the pain and i'm thumbing through the new Exchange Catalog (military) and there I see "Salton Breadman Ultimate"...in the description it's telling all about the machine and what it includes and then I see "recipe booklet and instuctional videotape with gluten free and low carb programs"......

Get outta town! Has anyone ever used this bread machine?? If so, please post what you think about it...i'm seriously considering trying it out...

  5. Also, they could link you up with other services that could be helpful and beneficial to you that we may not even know about or have thought about yet! PLEASE consider this!!! If you need help, let us know...i'm a social worker and could possibly assist you with finding your local office if you are unable to find this information on your own.

  6. I'm sure they are out there...just keep looking...maybe you could put a sign up at the Earthfare there in Charleston or at least check their board to see if anyone else has posted anything about meetings...also check w/ the hospital(s) there...

Good luck and keep us posted!

  7. You are a RIOT! I'm not much help b/c i'm retarded when it comes to making pizza too and hence depend on Amy's gluten-free Pizza for back-up. At least now I know when I go to Earthfare and all Amy's gluten-free pizza is sold out who's house its at. HAHA!

Someone posted a recipe a while back on here (not sure if that's what you tried or not) but here's the recipe that I wrote down:

    1.5 c light bean flour

    1 tsp baking powder

    1/4 tsp salt

    3/4 c milk

    1/4 c vegetable oil

Preheat 400 degrees.....in bowl combine flour, baking powder & salt....in a separate bowl mix milk & vegetable oil then stir it into the dry mix....spread on a pizza pan....bake 10 min....take it out of the over and slap on your favorite toppings....bake another 9-10 min till it's nice and brown and pretty!!

  8. I was sitting here this morning watching a "how to clean your floor better commercial" in between the morning news and I thought to myself....wonder when we'll see a gluten-free commercial on tv?? <_<

Someone a while back posted w/ the topic "I wanna be the first to..." so i've decided I wanna be the first to either see or heck, be in a gluten-free commercial. :P

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
