I have had intestinal misery my whole life, as far back as I can remember (I am 64). My father & brother, too. That suggests genetic disorder of some kind. Recently, a friend advised it coud be gluten sensitivity (I am negative for Celiac). I am eating a lot of rice and rice products and still suffering ... Then I came across this discussion! Now...
