  1. Cyclinglady nails it totally!!!!! Posterboy, every single thing cycling lady said is true. You NEVER seem to actually read & pay attention to what someone posted and you are completely unable to stay on topic. You run people off because you go off the rails constantly. Just b/c you put "this is not medical advise" at the end of your posts does not mean...
  2. I keep hearing this from people who have the air fryers. My hubby loves fried food & I tell you, I'm so tired of grease coating everything.
  3. I can't even say how sorry I am that you have to eat gluten for another 5 days! Aw geez! It must feel like you're stuck in the movie Groundhog Day. Sending you some really big, very gentle virtual hugs. {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{HUGS}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}
  4. Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh man! I know you are devastated!!!! What a major, major let down. I would be hair pulling livid!!! There are no words for this debacle. Inexcusable! I agree with the others & it is NOT in your head!!!!
  5. Hooray, hooray, hooray!!!!!! I too hope you get a definitive answer! Let us know ho wit goes please.

  8. I had gluten withdrawal that lasted for 2 months. It can take a long time for the body to heal depending on how damaged you were.
  9. I'm on my second week of red grapes that are so scrumptious that I nearly have to be torn away from them. Yeah, I've come a hairs breadth from said sickness due to gluttony. Oh man! These grapes are good though. They are at the peak of perfection.
  10. So I might have misunderstood the timeline? You had the celiac serum panel AFTER you had been eating gluten every day for 12 weeks & it all turned up negative? But you were gluten free when you had the negative endoscopy?
  11. You need a new doctor/GI specialist! If you've been eating gluten then you need to have the full celiac serum panel run which consists of 6 tests. Anti-Gliadin (AGA) IgG Anti-Endomysial (EMA) IgA Anti-Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgA Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) IgA and IgG Total Serum IgA Also can be termed this way: Endomysial...
  12. Awww, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this!!! The only thing I can say at this point is you don't have to eat a ton of gluten. Read this: http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/what-is-a-gluten-challenge/ So 1/2 slice of bread per day or a cracker or two.
  13. How many times have you asked this now in different threads? No matter how many times you ask it, you are going to get the same answer. No one can tell you exactly because we are ALL individuals & there are 1000's of things that factor into the equation. Not even the world's premiere medical experts on celiac disease can tell you exactly. We can...
  14. You risk a false negative. The recommendation by Chicago Celiac Center is 2 weeks of gluten eating every day. And there haven't been a handful of people who did not ask what you're asking. And now you know why we & celiac orgs. say do not go gluten free until all testing has been completed. Almost 100% of the time, there is a much stronger, more painful...
  15. Don't eat out until you learn how to safely eat out. Ennis covered this in one of your other posts. I thought that for now, you were eating gluten for some more testing the doc is going to do??????? Have you decided to skip that testing? Also, here you state there's nothing other than villi blunting. That is incorrect. You did have a positive on...
  16. Generally, yes, except you need to add the word malt (which is derived from barley). However, I know the rules for the US & for the most part the US labeling rules are quite similar to Canadian rules but since I do not know all the ins & outs of the Canadian rules then you would be best to check out the Canadian Celiac Assoc. Here's a link: https...
  17. As Karen says, always go by the ingredients on the package you are buying. And read every label every time. That is your new mantra. Every label, every time. YOU read it. Don't depend on others, they mean well but they don't know all the rules. You read every label every time b/c ingredients change. Manufacturers change ingredients depending upon cost &...
  18. Oh you poor thing. It's okay to come whine a little or even a lot. Stomp your feet, throw things, stick out your tongue & make raspberry noises. We're here. We get it. It sucks!!!!! Hang in there.
  19. According to the lab result you posted, the blood was taken Feb. 26, 2019. Blood is blood - taken from a vein. An endoscopic biopsy is tissue samples (tiny pieces) taken from inside your small intestine. I would imagine the positive blood result was what triggered the doctor to order or refer you for an endoscopy.
  20. Just adding these links & info. Less than half of patients
have GI symptoms
 The classic presentation of celiac disease involves a constellation of signs and symptoms of malabsorption: diarrhea, muscle wasting, and weight loss. Other typical gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms include bloating, flatulence, and abdominal pain. Recognizing cel...
