  1. Canada? Funny girl. Yep it does that here. It was very nice here today, warm but a bit cloudy. I made L2T's pasta with her ricotta filling for dinner today. First try was too dry and they split when I tried to fold them. Tried again and it was great. We put a Florentine sauce on them with some artichokes. So good and everyone loved them. I am going...
  2. Lol. Now you can eat that cake guilt free. I am making a quick pasta with home made pesto for supper. I am busy canning and jam making today.

  4. I made two dinners tonight. One for the gang, fried potatoes, eggs and baked beans. One for me, rice and swiss chard, kale and white beans.
  5. I made a ground beef soup with a tomato broth and cornmeal dumplings.
  6. What a feast! Should have let me know I could have popped across the water with those Muumuu's then you wouldn't have to be eating lettuce all week. Tonight we had the last of the turkey with gravy and rice with carrots and honey.
  7. I have a potato Gnocchi recipe I have always used and loved. It has some flour in it. If I use a gluten free flour should I add some X-gum? For tonight I am making a huge pan of roasted veggies.
  8. I made Mexican Pizza. A cookie sheet of polenta topped with grated cheese, chopped onion ground beef with taco seasoning and some enchilada sauce. Put it in a 425 oven for about 10 minutes and sprinkled with chopped green onion. Delicious and very filling.

  10. I make my own..I use Better Than Bouillon beef , add it to the pan the meat was cooked in. add water and some garlic, some onion powder and thicken with cornstarch. Scrape all the goodness off the bottom of the pan, add your meat back with your sauteed onions and mushrooms. Season if you like.
  11. Crunchy oat chicken sounds very good. How did it turn out? I have a turkey in the oven. My house smells wonderful! Stuffing, gravy, smashed potatoes, corn and broccoli.
  12. Sounds great but with my brain fog I am sure I would forget a few ingredients! I made Salisbury steak with onion and mushroom gravy, rice and cauliflower and carrots.
  13. Thanks for the Chili recipe IH. Tonight is more steamed potatoes and green beans, my tummy is still a little tender from getting glutened the other day.

  17. I got a four pound hunk of beef today so cubed it and put it in the oven with beef stock, green pepper, onion and garlic and African seven spice and spoon of tomato paste. Cooked it two hours and it was delicious. Steamed potatoes and fresh corn.
  18. I just finished freezing 34 bags of corn so we will have a late supper. Thin crust pizza with Mozzarella, spinach and fresh basil. Maybe some Ice Cream after.
  19. We are going to attempt homemade corn dogs tonight. With some kind of salad on the side.
  20. Tonight was a pasta bake with fresh veg on the side.
  21. Around here they call them Indian Tacos or Bannock Tacos and they sell them at all the Pow Wows. I posted a recipe for the fried version but there is a baked version, just do a search.
  22. Bannock is Indian Fry Bread. You slice them in half and put anything "taco" on them. I posted a recipe for Bannock about a week ago.
  23. Tonight I want baked pork ribs with sauerkraut but I need to get my butt out the door. Otherwise, chicken.
