  1. Last night we made terriyaki grilled chicken with swiss, arugala, spicy humus and red onion. Served it with corn on the cob for the family (I am not a fan) and sweet potato french fries. I was pretty impressed with the Udi's buns.
  2. My daughter gets seizures (occipital based with an aura) from gluten. She stumped her neurologist for years because her EEGs are normal between seizures (they only occurred 1-2X per year). But she also had terrible balance, dizziness, and brain fog. Then there were her other symptoms like her mood, stomach issues, constipation, failure to thrive, etc....
  3. Shrimp Scampi, creamy polenta and green beans with shallots. A nice cabernet as well. I need it after this crazy day. I found a noodle that holds up in the thermos thanks to all of you. Schaar. Grazie. Ciao!
  4. Argh, now I am drooling again. Seriously, your posts kill me! Rum cake with salted caramel frosting? Now THAT sounds delicious.
  5. They didn't rise quite right so I am thinking they will be rock hard. So second choice is Against the Grain baguettes from the freezer or crackers. Hubs is in a CRAPY mood. Just sent the kids to their rooms and he is grumpy. I told him maybe he needed some fresh air. SHEESH.
  6. Sounds good! I love chicken fingers. It's comfort food to me. And who doesn't like a good sorbet. Yum
  7. Love fest continues...it is Valentine's Day! I heart you back. Happy Valentine's Day all! Baked brie with roasted garlic and baguettes (I am going to bake my first baguette tonight, wish me luck!). My 7 yo boy will have a hot dog instead of that "smushy stuff" on bread. Ciao!
  8. Yeah, what she said! Aren't you supposed to be limiting your finger tapping?
  9. OMG! Mitchell loves corn. But I can get him to eat asparagus and green beans but not broccoli. Thank God for multi-vitamins. It's hard because Jordan is a healthy eater and Mitch loves crap. Crap I tell you. Even peanut butter and nutella sandwiches are not good enough. I put good food infront of him and do my best. One day he will get so hungry he...
  10. So my trick is like the sneaky chef. I use one of those handy hand blenders and put the broccoli in the sauce and blend it up. I use zucchini too. My son is so picky that it is ridiculous.
  11. Ok, more drooling. Do you mind sharing that recipe for the chicken? It sounds wonderful! So does the spinach. Tonight we are having Pumpkin Shrimp Bisque (sounds weird but it is incredible), salad and a french bread (gluten-free of course) and company! Gotta clean up around here.
  12. Oh like a hamburger bun! I don't know what I was thinking. I didn't get much sleep last night.
  13. Oh Irish, you ratted me out. I got a lot done in the morning! Then you had to talk me off the "stupid things that doctors say ledge". Thank you for that. Hope you got that walk in between our blabbering! We are having steaks, potatoes, crescent rolls and roasted asparagus. Your dinner sounds good! Yeah, I find that sour cream adds flavor...
  14. I just whipped up that crescent roll recipe. I went back to betterbatter website and you can use sour cream, cream cheese, ricotta or cottage cheese. I had sour cream on hand and the dough tastes amazing. That is a really good sign!!!! I am excited to bake this up and will let you know how the sour cream worked.
  15. Yes, I picked the Pats for my pool and I am not a Manning fan (sorry for those of you who are!). Out of control?? It's Super Bowl Sunday, woman! Let her rip! We are going to a gathering (lucky for me there will be two folks with Celiac there so everything except for one dish (from someone I don't trust cuz they don't get it. "you mean there are gluten...
  16. I know! Me too. I want to fly out and take one of her classes!
  17. Eat, mange, you need it after all those years! Tell him to give it back!
  18. My family is in bed and I am up reading stuff on the computer WITH a glass of red wine because it is Saturday night. So, I just have to say that this is another Abbot and Costello conversation. Just insanity. A book could be written about the absolute absurdity of it all.
