    When my oldest daughter was 6 she chased me around my mother's yard with a snake. I was probably shrieking like a little girl, all I actually remember was the panic. I ran in the house and my mother forbid her to bring the snake in the house. What is up with little girls and snakes? EWWW!!!!

    I like to freeze and reheat anything that is mildly resembling a casserole. I have an army of pyrex so I usually just make it right into serving size dishes that can go straight in the oven. Meatloafs also freeze really well, and he can just pop a frozen veggie into a container with a lid, add a bit of water and microwave until it is done. Or microwaved baked...

    I guess I'm spoiled. I grew up with my mom at least attempting to teach me to cook. One of the things she actually did well was meatballs and she just always threw things in a bowl on top of meat til it looked good. She also makes killer mac & cheese. There were many more things though that she was not so awesome at. I preferred dinner at Grammy's house...

    People use recipes for meatballs? I always use beef, sometimes I add pork or veal or sausage or ground whatever to it too. As long as its meat. Add eggs, add breadcrumbs, add whatever seasonings in whatever amounts seem like a good idea at the time... I used to use copious amounts of parmesan but I suppose I can't do that anymore.     We all have our moments. My husband knows that I love him dearly to do things like make him some of my favorite foods that I don't dare touch. Not that I'll exactly be suffering with my dinner. And I meant to freeze some of my cupcakes but they never made it to the freezer so I need to polish them off today. OINK myself!

    We just heated up last night's leftovers tonight but I had a sudden urge to have cornbread. So I threw together some hot water cornbread really fast last minute and we both love it. Finally something he'll eat that isn't an animal!

    WOOOO!!!! For sure a reason to celebrate! I just threw a tri-tip in the oven tonight and some baked taters.     My kids only started on computer games. They have a Wii in their bedroom and were avid console gamers from the day they were old enough to use a controller. We had 3 or 4 consoles when they were 5 and 6. Tech as a babysitter drives me up a wall.     Since we have a lot of roasts in our freezer I have another out and am hoping it is ready to cook for tonight. We did baked lemon pepper chicken with mashed taters and gravy and garlic green beans last night. And of course some red velvet cupcakes for dessert.
