  4. I use Thai Rice Noodles when I make Fettuccini. In the beginning its nice and creamy...Yummers. I go back to the dish five minutes later and its dried up and stuck to the pot. The joys of gluten free cooking! Colleen
  5. Diana, I'm assuming that jumping on a trampoline would help drain the lymph fluid? Is this what your saying? I would suggest that this may in fact irritate the nodes more. The appropriate way to stimulate drainage of lymph nodes is to lightly massage the effected area in the direction toward the two main nodes which are located above the belly button...
  6. Lymph node enlargement means your body is actively fighting something. Usually a few enlarged nodes do not mean anything by itself. I will also say that in my experience, when my nodes enlarge, it is my immune system telling me I'm sick. It is then up to me to figure out what is triggering my immune system. Since you are diagnosed celiac, lymph node...
  7. As the youngest in my family I blamed my brothers....they always bought it
  8. Well....I was raving about my pasta and marinara sauce. What I forgot was that Barty had told me about nightshades and joint pain and I decided to do a test. after 3 or four days without indulging in the forbidden foods I could hold my coffee cup with no problem (My fingers are my problem area). Then, having forgot about nightshades, I have the new pasta...
  9. Waitin...I can't believe .... wait ... Did you say that someone on the internet said that they ate Taco Bell and were fine, so you decided it was ok for you too? I think you know where this is going. Hon, you are a diagnosed celiac and you just damaged your body! It doesn't matter that it did or did not give you any issues afterward. The body...

  11. Thanks Notme and Love2. The marinara option sounds good. I love a good butternut squash so I'll prepare it the same way in the oven. Looks like I'll have a good dinner tonight. Thanks again! Colleen
  12. My brother gave me a spaghetti squash. What do I do with it. My son keeps using it as a barbell for his biceps. Humbly asking for guidance. Colleen

  16. Mars M&Ms clearly marks packaging with allergy information and a "may contain" statement. Peanut Butter M&Ms do not contain gluten. If they continue to make you sick you should not eat them. All the best. Colleen
  17. Thanks. Great to be here amongst my crazy gluten challenged friends
  18. Making shredded chicken sammies. This is a regional favorite and by regional, I mean Ohio. 1. Crock Pot 2. 2 cans of cream of chicken soup 3. Around 50-70 oz. Oz. canned chick's. 4. 20. Hubs made his Famous Cheeseburgers In Paradise for din din. They are famous because he is the official Grill Master at the family's annual 4th of July Party-Rama. Dad was forced to give up the title when a burger flip went wrong, flames licking up the side of the guest house and water hoses were involved. Needless to say, Dad is not allowed around...
  21. This is my opinion. I believe every public restaurant, cafe, etc. Can have gluten contamination. To Err Is Human and these facilities are operated by humans. I think you play Russian Roulette every time you dine out. Eating out is a choice. I do at times eat out myself and am very careful but I do get that pit in my stomach every time wondering if this...
