About Me

I've had GI issues since childhood. Diagnosed with IBS when I was 20 and sent on my way. Suffered for the next almost 20 years until I read something about Celiac's while researching abdominal pain for a friend. Realized I had many of the symptoms and after many more months and much more research and some trial and error learning about gluten, I decided to try going gluten free. It's only been a couple weeks, but I can definitely feel a change and on the two occasions I've been glutened, I felt it within just a couple of hours both times.

  1. mommyof4, I've only been gluten-free for a couple weeks, but got glutened twice already (big learning curve here). My symptoms were definitely worse than when I was eating it on a regular basis.
  2. I'm go glad I found this thread. I just joined this forum and yesterday posted about how I get irritable beyond description (like PMS on steroids) after eating gluten. I feel like I have just been validated. I was glutened over the weekend and have been fighting with my partner now for the past three days (not normal for us). It was like we were...
