  1. We have friends for dinner, roast chicken and veg. Seen off the last of the turkey encores today. My Mum loves turkey soup so we helped her freezer... Contemplating whole30 next week. I am seeing a dietitian soon, bet they''ll hate it. I need to lose plenty, am feeling quite a lot better and think some elimination tests would be good. I need to try dairy...
  2. :-) :-) :-) What are we, schoolgirls? He.
  3. Happy Christmas all. Safe driving, eating etc. Big hugs Mw x
  4. Happy Christmas lovely folks. Take it easy, see you the other side. Those cabana boys are gonna need a work out after all that stuffing. Off to Mums for gammon and mash. Take care Mw x
  5. Spent the night hurling and D. No food shopping done, kids pressies not wrapped, carpets no longer recognize vacuum, 3 year old friends party later, not got present for DH yet. Strangely still feel pretty optimistic though, although Mr Mindwarp is exhausted :-\ Dinner will probably be scrambled egg... We are also just coming up to our 1 year leaving...
  6. Ah, but some people seem better at getting dumb luck than others. Great work Dad ;-)
  7. Hey Wolfie that is fantastic news :-D .. Have a great Christmas
  8. Woo hoo, thanks IH. Mr Mindwarp is our baker, so that gives me 3 days to source coconut flour as a 'treat' for him
  9. Is there a good alternative to almond flour? My son is anaphylactic to almond, but they are in so much baking. I want the pumpkin bread :'(
  10. OMG there is a guy on TV here who is cooking a ham joint in a bacon crust. I got distracted, but he marinated the bacon in treacle 4h, put the ham in a big pot in apple juice with star anise and clove. Then put the bacon on the ham and roast 15 to 20 mins. He served it with roast pumpkin.
  11. All sounds very familiar Lysistrata was pretty racey too! I liked the anthropology side. We did the semiotics of humor too, possibly the least amusing approach possible, like someone explaining a joke you already got. I found it funny for that reason. I think my students thought I was deranged. Much of it was reflected through postmodern philosophy...
  12. I read we have until 11.11 am before it is all over. I can't decide whether to bother finishing my Christmas shopping... Loey I'd love a prayer for all of our friends on the forum who are in pain and suffering, and to give thanks for being blessed with all the love and support from each other. Thanks And hugs to you x
  13. Most excellent. I used to teach about theories of humor and comedy, from Freud to The Simpsons. Punning is my favorite. I think my dyslexia helps.
  14. ButterflyChaser that diss sounds very interesting When I was working I used to take copious notes in meetings and workshops, and in lectures as a student. I almost never read them again, but if I didn't do it I remembered nothing. It was like I had to 'code' the words via movement.
  15. Good work siw. Any chance of chillin for a bit ?
  16. Minced (ground?) Lamb, zucchini, mushrooms, tom puree, canned toms, garlic, sage, rosemary, oregano, black pepper. Cooked in 10 mins, served with grated mature cheddar. It was a chuck it in thing, but really tasty
  17. Wow. You must be so proud, that is fantastic
  18. This is starting to shape up nicely. I am wondering if love2 has any tricks in the bag that might extend to cloning. :)
  19. Interesting. We may need to clone him.
  20. More phluids here, we are set for floods again (my spell check tri to make that floaters. How does it know). Good luck all
  21. Hmmm, bit closer. Is Mr Clooney to old to do the job? Mr Depp?
  22. Well Bunnie, I can tell you for sure we wont be fighting over the boys - those 2 are yours
  23. Are these last 2 posts related?
  24. Wow, the bacon t shirt is PERFECT for if the cabana boys get cold. Lamb of some sort for dinner.
  25. Mmmm rootbeer. Hard to get here, and soda rots my guts. Can't do caffeine. Or alcohol come to to that. Its fun fun fun chez Mindwarp. Tonight is Mr Mws works do so I totally gave in and ate with the kids their choice. Bacon eggs beans potato letters. Classy. My son was ill and off school so we added to our already decorated tree. I think if we averaged...
