  1. Lamb with sweet potato, broccoli and carrots, then dates and pistachios. It's OK, I can sneak up from this side and round her up, she''ll never suspect that
  2. Mmm, looks great, thanks. Fingers crossed not too long till I get cheese back Stir fry pork, mushrooms, zucchini, carrot, rice.
  3. Hey Peter Sending good thoughts. Wow, Rob is prolific! I haven't read any sf for a few years, but they look very good. Right up Mr Mindwarp's street too Not much news here, but very chilly. We saw some sun this morning and made it to the park. We are pretty hardy folk (I seem to sometimes be the only parent who thinks it is outside weather...)but...
  4. I'd settle for a recipe for those fritters And maybe one for Mr Ski's caulirice? :)
  5. Cookingpapa, sorry you had to go through that. My son was 4 when he had an anaphylactic reaction and I know it can be a scary time. We got a practice epipen, so we got used to it, and could show teachers, family and friends how it works. We also practiced with him, so he knows the routine, to reduce panic should we need to use it. He practiced on us and...
  6. oooo, I have glittery cobalt blue nail polish here, what a fantastic excuse, I usually save it for music festivals. There sure are some folks need us thinking of them this week, and glittery blue toes would remind me very well. IH sorry it is all a bit ick at the moment, we are all there with you (but not in an inconvienient visitors you could do without...
  7. Sounds like some improvement all round, good news I am tired but no migraine or frogs, so chief suspect is turkey steak which didn't get chucked, so I assumed was ok (not that I am shifting the blame or anything ). So common or garden food poisoning. Managed scrambled egg for breakfast. You folks managed to have kids at a much more sensible...
  8. Well, just got back from a shopping trip. Managed to get to a bathroom for 1st round of D, in the car for 1st V. Very focused yoga breathing for 40 min journey home ( last time I had to do that was in a small airplane on a windy day, over the grand canyon. Mr Mindwarp was not so lucky that time). Finished the job at home. Rest now, narrowing possible culprits...
  9. I have no idea what all this robotics is, but I think my son would love it. Good luck to all of you with kids involved
  10. Ha ha ha (just as well you weren't trying to get into the wetsuit at the END of the vacation). Welcome home buddy (I love coming home from hols now I live by the sea. Just sayin... )
  11. Lisa So glad you are ok, sounds like it all got a bit hairy there. I hope you can track down your trigger. We are an epipen carrying household too, my son has an anaphylactic reaction to almond. So far we haven't had to use it, but it goes everywhere, no exceptions. I had a puffy lips and hives on face reaction to parmesan last week, maybe I need to...
  12. Sorry you are not feeling so good Hope you get some rest. Yesterday we had the most amazing pork roast. It is a long time since I had excellent crackling. Crunch and melt mmmm. Today was chicken and veg stir fry with some fine vermiccelli (sp??) rice noodles. Nice to add a bit of variety to my rice based dishes. Enjoyed an Easter egg hunt with...
  13. Beef, onions, zucchini, potato. Dull but functional. Turns out I was a bit optimistic on the parmesan, nice set of rashes on my cheeks and, ahem, other symptoms. Ho hum, if I don't try these things I will never know Have a good Easter everyone. In good news here it is less likely to snow tomorrow. Ski, still hanging in for you and Mom x
  14. Sending prayers for your Mum, and hugs for you. I hope you both find what you need. I am with you on recognizing that no learning is wasted. I turned from being my own advocate to my son's in the healthcare system. Thank goodness I knew what I was doing 2nd time. You know what you need to do. Love Mw x
  15. Well, we can never be accused of a lack of persistence, Addy, one day you will find your doc. I am wondering if we can lure IHs doc to Florida to visit us all at the compound? Maybe he could also be a cabana boy. I still don't really have a good one. At least I got a diagnosis of ncgi. He referred me to a dietitian for weight loss, but not nutritional...

  17. Rustic style chicken thighs, a tomato based Spanish tapas sort of dish, with rice, courtesy of Mr Mindwarp. Very nice. Mould operations on hold till the morning. How exciting is my life?

  19. Laughing now Cringing with embarassment at the ER.... Wait, I missed the corn reintroduction woohoo!! I was going to try it today, but after my sugar and Imodium exploits this week I think I will go for a bit of recovery time first. Sorry to hear about pork IW An exciting weekend of clearing mould caused by condensation ahead here.....
  20. Thanks everyone entirely my own fault, trying to do a job too quickly. When moving shelves, I advise moving the stuff off the top shelf first.
  21. Dinner is salmon tonight, cooked yesterday. I managed to get myself a great whack on the head Wednesday, quick er trip. Not too bad, cut and big bruise, and some shock. So I had a sweet tea, bit of chocolate. That started up the sugar addiction thing. I had a bit more chocolate, 2 small merrangues (sp!!) and now I am wiped out and have D. Taken immodium...

  23. Thanks guys (well, you know what I mean). I am not too sad about soy. I will try the coconut aminos. I hope I can do soy lecithins, I have found a chocolate which is gluten, dairy, nut and egg free but has soy lecithins. The odd square of chocolate would be nice. Easter George sounds good Dinner is roast chicken, jacket potatoes, carrots and broccoli...
