Hmmmmm, do you think its normal for this to happen? How long have you been gluten-free? Could still be a healing process?
-
Since I've been gluten free (5 days) I've had a bit more regular movements but don't fully need the urge to go. Did it keep happening when you ate rice?

Sorry, I've posted like 4 different threads now, just getting things off my chest what I was wondering! Does anyone get symtoms, by not having the urge to pass bowels? Its like you never need to go.. Sorry for the topic but yeah haha!

Thanks for the replies:) ill just keep my eye on things see how I feel

Thanks a lot:) I've read stuff where it could just be cos the lactose is hard to digest in the villi where its been damaged by celiac, as I think my problEm is celiac mainly as some of my symtoms have decreased after 5 days.

I've posted on other parts of the forum, as I've said my mum has celiac, I have no positive testing but have had symtoms for about 9 months. I have been gluten free for 5 days and the bad flatuence has reduced a lot and parts of the fullness in the abdomen after eating has reduced a little. Should I avoid dairy as well? As I noticed I had gluten free porridge (with milk) and had quite a bit of burping, also I had a activia and had a bit of gas. Is this normal or am I just over reacting?

Thankyou:) ill definitely stick it out.

Did it decrease the symtoms of your kids? Hopefully it did!
Thanks a lot anyway!

Yeah, think ill stick to it, as when I ate rice (no gluten) my bloating was never as bad. Thanks for your feedback!

Hi, I'm a 17 year old male, I've already posted a similar topic about symtoms, I just want advice to just try the gluten free diet. Basically my mums got celiac(as of 8 or 9 years) and I've been having syntoms for 9 months (constipation, lack of appetite, tummy rumbling after meals, bloating, bad gas, and I did have some weird rashes on my leg a long while back not sure if its connect) well I've been to the doctors time and time again, had blood tests and they came bacl negative. Been to a specialist and he just said take a fibre supplement for your constipation.. And that was it, and I've been to the doctors recently and he said try the gluten free diet. This is my third day now. Is it worth trying? Could I be celiac? Thanks!

Thanks for feedback! And I did think it could be dairy but I've drank glasses of milk and cereals and my stomach didn't feel any different, I did avoid milk and dairy for a while too but didn't affect anything.

Thanks:) I was just trying a gluten free diet to see how I go as the doctor advised me to, then add wheat to my diet if the symtoms decrease a little to see if the gluten triggers is. As you say the tests aren't 100 percent accurate.

Hi, I'm a 17 year male and about 8 or 9 months ago, I started to feel very bloated after meals and have lost my appetite drastically, which has got worse over a period of time. My mum has also has celiac disease as of about 8 or 9 years. Other symtoms include bad flatuence, waking up in the morning with weird substance around lips(sticky), bad constipation(have had diarhea sometimes, I.e a week of diarhea once then back to being constipated) I have lost quite a lot of weight, around 10 pounds to a stone. I have never been a bad eater, and this is something I hate and am struggling to cope with. I had blood tests about 5 months ago and they came back negative. I have also been refered to a specialist and he checked me, with no tests, just a physical examination. Sometimes I feel more bloated than normally, for example if I ate pasta it would blow me up a lot. But if I eat rice or ryvitas(contains rye) I wouldn't feel as bad as some of the other meals. Does this sound like celiac? Or something else? I hope someone can help. Thanks.

Ahh I see, not to sure a bit strange. I've had similar symtoms, espeiclly no appetite, but I eat as it will never solve any problems.. I also got bad bloating and C but this seems to be decreasing and I've only been on gluten-free for around 6 days. Also I've not been tested positively, I'm just on a celiac diet as I think its the problem.
