1. BTW, it's been over two years since I've been on here and I am doing MUCH, much better! Even slow progress is progress nevertheless. To all you newbies, may you champion self-care and HANG IN THERE
2. Hi and thanks! How it came to be is being undiagnosed for 10+ years plus high mercury poisoning, MTHFR, sleep apnea and deficiency of a hormone that helps the kidneys hang onto water (so for many years, I was deprived of nutrition, oxygen, water and poisoned on top of it with a faulty mechanism for detox - as my doctor said, "You're missing all of the...
3. I folks, Have any of you travelled on Princess Cruises with multiple intolerances? I have so many intolerances and right now, I'm very nervous about getting on a ship and having no control over my food. How well does Princess Cruises accommodate those with Celiac & food intolerances? How early should I contact the ship? Please share whatever...
4. The cold bug got me but, kind of a blessing right now.

5. That is so good to read, Dee. Someday I hope you are rewarded with many grandchildren.
6.
Have you thought of trying paleo bread? It is grain free..it typically contains almond and/or coconut flour. You might be able to find some in the freezer section of one of the health stores near you! It's pricey at about $10.00 a loaf, but personally I like it a lot and if you're used to not eating bread...
7. I can't get this song out of my head.
8. This is a short vent. The assisted living my mom is in had a party Thursday night. They have one every month which has been good for the residents and the families. This time, it came right before Easter. I've got to tell them not to put their events so close to a holiday. It's not unusual for the main caregiver to also struggle with their health. There...
9. I'm doing some gentle sun salutes before bed because some of you inspired me :)

10. 106 days since last glutening. Longest stretch ever!

11.
It sounds like you will be able to test it much later when you feel like rocking the boat. Trouble is, if you are like me, you never want to rock the boat!
Yeah, it didn't dawn on me that I would be rocking the boat. I toggle between Safety-Sparrow and Careless-Cali. What a wild life I'm...
12. Well, last night, hubby and I thought we'd treat ourselves to a little gluten-free bread. He had problems after eating it and I'm having issues today. Not leaving the house kind of issues. It's not something that is on my diet and I really didn't think a little gluten-free bread would bother me much. Oh well. Back to eating no grains? Or maybe just...
13. Good posture is also good for your health :) Glad to hear you have a metamorphosis ahappenin!
14. This day was stressful & may I find peace in the coming days.

15. I enjoyed this article from Mark's Daily Apple. It's good advice for those of us dealing with our health during a time of crisis: http://www.marksdailyapple.com/cultivating-health-during-crisis/#axzz2yDxYRwlB
16. I had a good time on my mini vacation, kept myself fed & even ate out once safely!

17. Thanks Enthusiast. You definitely picked up on my angst. It felt like I was walking into a burning building to leave. It ended up being a good trip and my mom was smiling yesterday as she didn't expect me back until tomorrow. The trip did me some good and now I can focus on her. It was scary to leave.
18. I am going to focus on my mom this next week. She told me today that she was ready for a long vacation and she is losing weight. Thank you, everybody. I appreciate your words.
19. Alright, I'm ready to get off the ride now. I had some dairy a few weeks back and reacted to it. I'm going on a trip and thought it would be a good idea to reintroduce some intolerant foods so that I might try the swanky hotel gluten-free food. *ouch!* It was around the same time my mom went on hospice and a few other potential disasters came in that day...
20. Thank you for your message on my blog. I needed a strong voice. You are absolutely right!

21. I've lost faith in restaurants as well (except for one). If it is all inclusive, that would solve that problem. The B&B in SA only served breakfast and that made renting a house more feasible since cooking our own meals is necessary. My aunt and uncle have a B&B and they eventually built their own living quarters which made a big difference to...
22. There's a GF B&B in San Antonio and I bet they could give you their two cents about what has worked and what hasn't. I was happy to find them but we were sharing with another couple and rented a house instead. If you had the low-down on where to eat and who to ask for, I would consider that a very nice value add. Your guests would have a lot to talk...
23. I've been hit with too much stress at once. Going to focus on mitigating it. More Omega3s, food, walks, scenic drives... How Stress Wreaks Havoc On Your Gut: http://chriskresser.com/how-stress-wreaks-havoc-on-your-gut
