  1. Am I the only person in the world who does not own a Crock Pot? Maybeso?
  2. Leftovers and more leftovers....might be a long week. Oh, and the cornbread stuffing was a big hit with son-in-law who usually asks if "it's real or fake".
  3. Roasted Oysters and Blazing Saddle Stew
  4. Veal Marsala for me too! And lunch tomorrow. Happy Birthday to DH!
  5. Those piggies will be on my short list! Thank you
  6. OOOOHHH... I miss those. I used to buy crescent rolls and wrap Hillshire Farms sausages....yummy! How do you do yours....now.
  7. Have you tried the easy PB cookies: One cup sugar One Cup Peanut Butter Two eggs (I think I have that right?)
  8. I made some lasagna tonight with some left over spaghetti sauce. It tasted like spaghetti sauce with lasagna noodles and ricotta. Ihhhhh.... Not impressed.
  9. TY for the warm welcome. And Happy belated BDay to another Oct baby!

  10. Oh! Kinda like roasting. I take a pork tenderloin, slather it with mustard and garlic salt. Surround it with potato quarters and diced carrots and bake. Or, pork tenderloin and season with garlic salt and lots of apricot preserves and bake.
  11. Have to ask...what are carrot fries? And how do you prepare them? They sound great. Tonight...theater popcorn and Puss & Boots with a special nine year old.
  12. WOW! So many great cooks and recipes....We need a Celiac.com cookbook!
  13. Yes, this could be separate topic. This thread has a great flow to it as it continues. We should not interrupt.
  14. Bea - to be honest I have never heard of that before. Contamination occurs with cross contact (ie touching). Unless your food it touching the sides of the oven walls, or directly on the oven rack - no contact should be made, thus no contamination. I have used a shared oven for almost seven years, with no issue.
  15. Dining out tonight, but will try this tomorrow eve with garlic mashed potatoes: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/traditional-osso-buco/detail.aspx
  16. moi aussi Looong couple of days!
  17. I called the company too and it said carnation instant breakfast is gluten free, but when i look at the label it says it contains wheat starch..I thought wheat starch was a no-no..

  18. Don't waste your time being in conflict! When in doubt, don't! A particular *treat* is not really important if you can find an alternative. I love Dove candies. The good thing is....that LIFE IF FULL OF OPTIONS!
  19. Marinated/Grilled Flank Steak, fresh-local corn on the cob, sliced tomatoes and gluten tortellini's for the boarders....everyone was happy.
  20. Rack of pork (Smithfield) ribs, rubbed generously with Emeril's Original Rib Rub Seasoning (in the morning) and baked in the oven - until desired crispness....Grill works too on low, low, low. Corn on the cob Cesar salad.
  21. Chicken Marsala for us tonight (dusted in Bob's Red Mill Flour Mix). Server over rice and spring asparagus. Going to the beach to the In-Laws for Easter Dinner/Lunch. Bringing Blazing Saddle Stew. It's a classic and remind me to post the recipe. Happy Holiday to Everyone!!!!
  22. No...not me. But, I asked to read the label of the oil it's popped in and did not see an issue. You could inquire the same. When I order the medium with butter, I don't feel so well after.....but it sure is good goin' down. (probably not gluten related)
