You may want to buy brand new condiments if you think they have cc issues (bread in the mayo from making sandwhiches with gluten bread). Just to be safe.

I love the banana bar cookies. They are wrapped indidvidually so they are great for taking on the go.

I am not discounting others experiences only sharing mine. I have never had a problem with msg or carlmel coloring and I seem to be fairly sensitive. I do know that alot of people have issues with msg not to mention the fact that it is not good for anybody to eat.
I am of the opinion that the food labeling law is working and that companies comply. Just my thoughts on the subject.

I have never eaten there. I am too scared of being surrounded by gluten! Unfortunately, I am very sensitive and do not go out much. I think as a precaution you should ask the servers to change their gloves. It helps decrease cc.

I have found most ice creams to be safe except for the obvious gluten filled ones. I use Dryer's and Breyer's. Enjoy!

Last time I bought blue cheese I just made sure to read the label until I found one that did not list wheat!

I use Ortega, but always read the label. I also think that Mission is gluten-free.

I do not have any problems with whey. Whey is dairy so if you are avoiding dairy (many people do especially when starting the gluten-free diet) you will have to watch out for it. However, if you are just talking about gluten, whey is gluten-free.

I did some research last year and found that quite a few turkeys were gluten-free. Your best bet is to decide which turkey you want and call the company. I stood in the grocery store doing just that. I am sorry I cannot remember any of the brands.

At a recent party someone brought a queso dip and chips. It was a pound of cooked sausage (Jimmy Dean), a pound of velvetta and one can of rotel or salsa. It was really good.

PerkyO's cereal is shaped (notice I did not say taste) like Cheerios. I can only get it off the web. I would also try soft gluten-free pasta that she can grab herself along with stemed zuccini (sp). Canned fruits can also work because they are softer although harder to grab.

I have eaten there once and did not get sick. However, I think I just got lucky. I think there is a huge issue with cc with the rice and beans. I was also told by the manager at the one I ate at not to eat the chips because the fryer was not dedicated. I had a bowl with rice, beans and beef. No lettuce, cheese or salsas because of the concern of cc.

I was very sensitive to gluten after going gluten-free. However, after being gluten-free for about a year and a half I have noticed my reactions to accidently getting glutened are delayed. I used to know withing an hour if I had been glutened now it can be up to 24 hours. I am assuming this is happening because I have had some healing, but am not sure.

I have not made the donuts but I have made the spritz cookies and they turned out great.

Feeling your pain, I am so sorry.

I have never had an issue with ground black pepper. However, I do not use it much nor do I eat out alot. I have never looked into it because it was never a big concern. I use McCormick spices at home, they will clearly label.

I really like the kinninick (sp) donuts and knock off oreos. I enjoy the Glutino ice cream cones and lemon wafer cookies.

As with everything else in the gluten-free life you will have to read the label. After that disclaimer I have found alot of turkeys are gluten-free as long as there is not any stuffing in it! I did a natural turkey last year but I remember others purchased commercials ones with no problems.

No one uses cheap foundatin anymore? Bummer. I might have to try bare essentuals. I just hate spending the money on make up. I would rather use it for gluten-free treats

I hate it when companies do that!

Always read the label. Everytime I read it we can have cocoa pebbles and fruity pebbles, they are made by Kraft and will clearly label. Enjoy!

I just realized this was in the eating out section. You did mean the cereal right?

I have been using Nutrogena for about a year and I just don't like it! I look fine for a couple of hours then it just looks greasy and gross.
What liquid foundation that is in a drug store (aka cheap) do you use? I really could use some suggestions, I look like crap

Here is a link to the site where I got my cream of anything recipe. It is fairly easy and has the same consisitency as the can.

I use Swanson's broth all the time. Some are not gluten-free though so you need to be careful. I only use the Natural Goodness (or something like that) chicken broth in the can. I see if I can't find my sheet that lists the swanson's broth.

This was an issue for me when I was first dx. I finally decided I was the chef and I was in charge! That meant that all dinners would be gluten-free
It has worked out great. The kids and dh get their gluten at lunch and breakfast and dinner is gluten-free. No one seems to miss it. You really do need to do what works best for you and your family. Have you told them how you feel? That might help.
Good Luck!
