@Jherm21— I would trust this company. They at least are taking precautions. Try sticking with vanilla which is the #1 flavor in the US and they probably make huge batches of it. The OP might have temporary lactose intolerance or celiac-related GI issues since he recently stated that he still has some villi damage on his last endoscopy.

Chronic Dry Cough
cyclinglady replied to MarieRH's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Have you been tested for celiac disease (complete blood panel : TTG, EMA, DGP and intestinal biopsies)? Note that not all celiacs test positive to the common screening TTG test. I am not a doctor, but that chronic cough sounds like asthma. My family members are always chronically coughing and try to clear their throats in order to breath (not actually... -
Advil or tylenol
cyclinglady replied to blahblah's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Both medications can have some serious side effects if not used properly or depending on your general health. Acetaminophen can damage the liver an NSAID can damage your small intestine, like gluten can, if used in excess. Look to your diet for possible triggers and those might not just be gluten. -

I agree that It takes a much longer time to heal nerve damage. Be patient and heed Ravenwoodglass’ advice! Have you been tested for thyroid antibodies? My brother has Hashimoto’s and his main symptom was carpal tunnel syndrome. It resolved with thyroid hormone replacement. Both celiac disease and thyroiditis could be contributing to your finger iss...- 11 replies

Eating before bed
cyclinglady replied to GfreeChicago's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
Welcome! If it has only been a few months, chances are you are still healing. The learning curve to the gluten free diet is steep. Mistakes are made and setbacks occur that can impede healing. Remember, you are dealing with an autoimmune disorder that is triggered by gluten. The autoimmune reaction can occur long after the gluten is gone. I... -
Gluten and Endoscopy pre-diagnosis
cyclinglady replied to Airlion's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Everyone’s glutening symptoms can be different, so hard to say. But gallbladder disease has been linked to celiac disease. I had my gallbladder removed (non-functioning) years before my celiac disease diagnosis. Bet I would still have it if I had been diagnosed sooner. -
I agree with all the advice you have been given. Get to a doctor. Taking more enzymes is not the solution. You need to find out why your stomach is not emptying properly. Like Ravenwoodglass stated, this does not sound like celiac disease (though it could have been triggered by an autoimmune flare up from a gluten exposure).

Gluten and Endoscopy pre-diagnosis
cyclinglady replied to Airlion's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
So many of our members (like me) took years to finally get an answer to our many symptoms that plagued us for years or even decades. Even if your endoscopy (or skin biopsy) is negative, consider going back to gluten free. Whule you are doing the challenge, take the time to keep researching DH and celiac disease. Read our DH section of the forum.... -
Gluten and Endoscopy pre-diagnosis
cyclinglady replied to Airlion's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Yes! Please consume gluten starting NOW before your endoscopy. A gluten challenge for an endoscopy to obtain intestinal biopsies is between 2 to 4 weeks. Better to be safe as do more than two weeks in my non-medical opinion. https://www.cureceliacdisease.org/faq/what-is-a-gluten-challenge/ Eating more than two slices of bread is not necessary... -
I think I have Celiac
cyclinglady replied to vicwlk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Great! Just start eating gluten daily before your November appointment in order to get an accurate test result. Just a slice or two of bread daily (or equivalent). -
Sorry, I can not open your file. DH mimics so many rashes. The only way to know for sure is a skin biopsy done by a Dermatologist who is hopefully celiac savvy. https://celiac.org/celiac-disease/understanding-celiac-disease-2/dermatitis-herpetiformis/

I think I have Celiac
cyclinglady replied to vicwlk's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If you plan on getting tested for celiac disease, you must be consuming gluten daily for about 6 to 8 weeks. All celiac testing requires you to be on a full gluten diet or the tests will be invalid. Trying to guess if you have celiac disease based on symptoms alone is not possible. Why? Because many illnesses or other autoimmune disorders often... -
It works. Clearing the cookies did the job. Duh, you would think I would remember to do that.

The only reason the FORUM (boxed and highlighted in red) is active is because I came through your post under the All Activity (grey or %black) button. Coming into the website form a search mode (e.g. google) and on the main page I would not be able to click on the FORUM button or anything near the celiac.com banner. iPad, chrome are both not working.
-
The only way for me to get into the forum is through the Activity button, located under the Celiac.com banner and is not capitalized. Then to access, I must pick an active thread and select “forum” and this button is in alignment with the same “activity”button (not capitalized). I can click on on a button like “STAFF” which is far away from the ce...

Celiac tongue?
cyclinglady replied to X-shane-X's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
If you suspect celiac disease, consider asking your doctor for a simple blood test: http://www.cureceliacdisease.org/screening/ I hope you figure it out. -
I agree with Trents. Since my celiac disease diagnosis, I have added another autoimmune disorder that can not be treated just with a gluten free diet. I try to eat as cleanly as possible and a recent endoscopy confirmed that my small intestine has healed. Two months after my celiac disease diagnosis, I fractured two vertebrae doing NOTHING! It was...

Hopefully, your body will stop making antibodies soon. I have been glutened a few times over the past five years. I have suspected a few products but typically since it takes a while for me to get really sick, I can not always figure out for sure what got me. I have found that once I ramp up my gliadin antibodies, it sets off my other autoimmune...

To be really safe, contact the manufacturer. See if it is milled with wheat products on a shared line. If not, the corn meal/flour is probably fine. Buying in bulk is the real problem. Cross contamination can occur from customers mixing scoopers. Buy products labeled and in bags.

Low Dose Immunotherapy
cyclinglady replied to NightSky's topic in Post Diagnosis, Recovery & Treatment of Celiac Disease
I do not know anything about the immunotherapy you will undergo, but if you have celiac disease, you will never get gluten back. It stays with you for life, but it can go into remission while on a gluten free diet. The therapy might help if you have a wheat allergy (IgE). If you have been on the Fasano diet for years and saw no improvement, I would think... -
I do not have any specific ideas, but I battle with this occasionally as a result of working out in an indoor community pool. Change out of your workout clothes immediately after a work out. Be sure they are dry before dumping them into a laundry basket or wash immediately. Wear flip flops in the locker room. Wear them at home to prevent exposures to family...
