I don’t know. Those are not the standard, medically-accepted tests for celiac disease screening. Blood tests (antibodies) and endoscopy to obtain small intestinal biopsies are used. There are some pretty good Certified gluten free beers out there. My fav is Ground Breaker brewed in Oregon. No way! Consuming gluten and setting off the autoimmune reaction before going into the hospital when you are struggling with COVID-19 could be the “nail in the coffin”. Dr. A. Fasano said something like managed or treated celiacs are at no greater risk than the general population. But untreated/undiagnosed celiacs? Who knows?- 20 comments
