@Hellegeist I am glad that you healed and are well on your non-processed foods diet which I also follow and encourage. But I still disagree that there are gluten cross reactors. Nope. I would not drink it. These products are not under the regulation of the US FDA and legally do not need to meet the gluten free guidelines. They are under the Bureau of Alcohol and Tobacco. I think GFinDC left this out. Consume gluten daily for 2 to 4 weeks before the endoscopy. This is imperative! If your endoscopy is scheduled out for a few months out, take the time to consume gluten daily and insist on a repeat antibodies test (full panel) on the day of the endoscopy or just a day before or after. Maybe you did not get the entire celiac panel which includes not just the typical screening TTG (IgA, IgG) , but the DGP (IgA, IgG) and EMA [IgA) tests, along with an Immunoglobulin A (IgA) control test (this validates the celiac IgA tests). @ncsc Good point. NSAIDS (e.g. aspirin and ibuprofen) can cause stomach upset for some celiacs, regardless of whether it contains gluten or not. Sure, you could have celiac disease. I was the first diagnosed in my family. Anemia was my main symptom. The only way to know for sure is to get tested. The catch? You have to be consuming gluten daily for at least 6 to 12 weeks and it sounds like you are gluten free now. Consider staying the gluten-free course and get tested later after this...
