  1. I was off of red meat for a long time before I reincorporated it into my diet. (my sensitivities left me with not much else in the line of protein) I second the idea of ground beef in your recipe instead of ground turkey but start with a lower fat content to start. I found that starting with leaner cuts of red meats helped me digest it easier. Laura...

  5. Yum! Tonight is "pizza night". Husband and son are getting takeout from Domino's and I am making myself a 3 cheese white pizza with fresh garlic, extra virgin olive oil, and ground pepper on a GFP crust.
  6. If it does turn out to be tapioca, The Gluten Free Pantry has many mixes that don't have it. A couple do, so you have to read the ingredients, but most don't. I just made a cake today using their mix Their French Bread and Pizza mix is excellent.
  7. Just another idea for you--I had problems with some mixes too at first and by process of elimination found I was intolerant to tapioca, which is in a lot of mixes.

  9. Interesting....I've actually cooked both gluten and non gluten foods in my oven at the same time (Of course making sure the gluten food was on the bottom) and never noticed a problem.

  12. It's a very forgiving recipe. You could absolutely do it without cheese. I was dairy free for 6 years and during that time ate my pizza cheese-less. This would be good with just sauteed veggies and the tomato sauce. Actually now that I think about it, you could fool around with thinly sliced potatoes and spinach, etc. Good luck!
  13. Sure I make mine in a 13x9 baking dish--it's actually more of a pizza casserole. You can take the "dough" ingredients and after mixing, spread it out in a greased traditional pizza pan for a more pizza-like dish. About 3 cups of grated zucchini (squeeze out as much moisture as you can) 2 eggs 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese 2 tablespoons...

  15. I'm by myself tonight...I had 2 slices of homemade banana bread with peanut butter and sauteed apples. Just what I was in the mood for--yum!
  16. Greek yogurt with fruit most days. Pancakes with sausage sometimes on the weekend. I had 2 slices of gluten-free toast this morning, but that was rare.

I'm tired and the constant pain gets to me. I have tried everything from acup. to PT to massage for 3 years. Hubby and I think it will take total gut healing before anything works. I'll just ...

  18. Leftovers....but for dessert I made GFP Truffle Brownies with a vanilla buttercream frosting. Might just eat dessert
  19. Oven fried chicken with spinach risotto--all made in the oven. Easy with a quick clean-up
  20. Pot roast with gravy, mashed potatoes, and carrots with maple syrup and cinnamon.
