  1. I wonder if there is a small box with a combination lock on it that you could use as a lunch box? Or find a non-zipping lunch box that you could put your own combination lock on the handles. It's terrible that your son has to be bullied like this. Absolutely disgusting of those kids to do that. What if you talked with their parents (with or without...
  2. Yes, I know. I actually have a math degree, but it was interesting to know that shayre had some gluten-ing symptoms after eating several foods like that even though, in total, the ppm was still under 20.
  3. Wow - you guys are so helpful! Thanks so much! I'm feeling good today, so I don't think I got glutened, but I'll keep the "it adds up" comment in mind for similar products.
  4. I ate it this morning, and I don't have GI reactions (just brain fog, confusion, etc. reactions), so I don't know. I think I'll be fine, but I was just curious about the certification process. If it's been tested and is OK, then I'm fine with it.
  5. I bought a snack bar the other day called "Chia Bar" at Target. I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a substantial snack, though. On sale, it was $4 for a box of 5 bars. Not too bad, until you get home and realize that the size of the bar is 0.88 oz. TINY! Anyway, on to my question: the bar is labeled "Certified Gluten Free" with that black circle...
  6. This is my time to shine! haha, it's a little late, but hopefully still helpful. My family has the same exact waffle maker - isn't it awesome!? I have a fool-proff DELICIOUS waffle recipe/method that makes the best waffles ever. (non gluten-free people have said they are really good and can't tell the difference) Use the Betty Crocker Cookbook recipe...
  7. I'm a bit late, but Gluten Free on a Shoestring has some AMAZING recipes on her blog. She has a few cookbooks, too; one is all about breads. I haven't tried them myself yet, but she has a few different flour mixes to use. Her instructions are super easy to follow, and she has a million different kind of breads to make (including hawiian rolls, texas roadhouse...
  8. I've had my throid checked before, and they're fine. Also, I'm only 20, so perimenopause isn't really applicable But thanks for the advice! Maybe I'll have my thyroid checked again - it's been about 2-3 years, so maybe it's changed since then.
  9. I've been having similar symptoms too! I was diagnosed with Celiac in February, and immediately started the gluten-free diet. My next cycle was horrible! I chalked it up to the iron infusion I'd had a couple weeks before (to jumpstart increasing my iron because I was anemic). BUT, ever since, it has been absolutely horrible! I bled through a super in...
  10. I was diagnosed with Celiac about a week ago, and I start the gluten-free diet in 2 days (after a small intestine biopsy tomorrow). I am wondering of any of the women out there have some favorite makeup products (especially lip products) that are gluten-free. I know about red apple lipsticks, but I'm a college student, and I don't have $20+ to spend on...
