I was under the impression that I had damaged some ligaments in my left shoulder since I had pain there for over a year, That pain went away after I started a gluten free diet. I suspect it was related to gluten because I ate gluten accidentally (wife made Chinese rice and used wheat soy sauce) and the pain came back and went away a few days after.

To me, the best test and cheapest test a person could do for Celiac and Gluten sensitivity is to go 100% gluten-free for 3 months, if your medical problems start going away it is an indication that you have a gluten problem. Once I started my gluten-free diet I could tell the improvement after 3 days (better bower movement, no brain fog, less anxiety, less...

I did the testing just to please my family that did not wanted to believe all I was saying. For me, to go gluten free and start getting better from all my medical problems (counted 24) is enough proof that I have a problem with gluten. I even have vision 20/20 now, I used to wear glasses and have difficulty driving at night (I got owl vision now).

I am very sensitive to gluten, I was at the end of my rope when finally figured out. This is the result of my genes test. Interpretation of HLA-DQ Testing: Although you do not possess the main HLA-DQB1 genes predisposing to celiac disease (HLA-DQ2 or HLA-DQ8), HLA gene analysis reveals that you have two copies of a gene that predisposes to gluten sensitivity...

I was very irritable, short temper individual before going on my gluten-free diet. The most weird mental disturbances that I experienced were when the constipated me would sit down in the toilet for a long time and would rest my elbows on my knees and get the sensation that I have the body of a tarantula. The sensation would go await as soon as I raised my...

One indicator for me that I had accidentally eaten gluten is that I lose playing dominoes. I can't follow the game, can't remember whom lead the game and which tiles were laid down by whom. Get my butt kicked every time this happen otherwise I am the champ.

Playing Doctor: Gluten Intolerance When the Tests Are Negative
miguel54b commented on Kim Duvall's article in Spring 2009 Issue
You eat gluten and feel ill, you don't eat gluten and feel well; what other clues are you looking for to realize that you have a gluten problem? My blood test was negative! That did not changed the fact that gluten was the problem. I don't have the gene that code for Celia but I have two genes that code for gluten sensitivity. I eat very well, been on a...- 16 comments

I get cankers sores within ours of eating oats, no only in my mouth but in my rear end. I was getting them after eating Canyon Bakehouse gluten-free bread and later found out that they were using oats flower in the type of bread I was eating.

Could Gluten-Sensitivity Play a Role in Acute Mania? My answer is yes. What qualify me to give that answer? My own experience and reading other experiences plus the studies out there. There should be no doubts that the damage that gluten causes affect the brain by direct or indirect way. Once gluten cause a leaky gut there is not telling what is going to...

I can relate to 20 miles bathroom issue but after nine years gluten free I no longer have that problem, so I can drive for hours. I always have gluten-free emergency food in the car and the grocery stores are my gluten-free restaurant.

Is Celiac Genetic Testing Reliable?
miguel54b commented on Tina Turbin's article in Spring 2011 Issue
Mine was very reliable since it explained why I am so sensitive, done by Enterolab. Gluten Sensitivity Gene Test HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 1 0202 HLA-DQB1 Molecular analysis, Allele 2 0501 Serologic equivalent: HLA-DQ 2,1 (Subtype 2,5) Interpretation of HLA-DQ Testing: Although you do not possess the main HLA...- 1 comment

Connection Between Grapes And Gluten?
miguel54b replied to Flyingmango's topic in Food Intolerance & Leaky Gut
I joined this forum because of this post. I was blaming my wife for my latest gluten reaction but today I ate some red grapes and my intestines started making that noise and I am having a reaction. I remembered that I ate grapes that day she made that chicken salad. I am going to wait a few days to try the red wine I bought yesterday; I had felt a slight...
