  1. I'm so glad you are feeling better!!
  2. I'm so glad you are feeling better. If you try it again, let us know. You are braver than I am. I've had bad reactions to medications before and am terrified of having them.
  3. Hi Sueps, I'm sorry that you are still feeling bad 5 years on! That has to be frustrating. We were diagnosed close to the same time, my diagnosis was in January of 2014. I think that there should be such a thing as an autoimmunologist who is a specialist of all autoimmiune diseases since they seem to run together. I see an endocrinologist for...
  4. Hi there, I'm so sorry that you are feeling so poorly. ((((Hugs)))) Have you been tested for the MTHFR gene mutation? My understanding of it is that those who have the mutation can't process folic acid or folate correctly and that could cause all kinds of issues. Just a thought and I could be way off. I hope you feel much better tomorrow...
  5. My husband's company has a Christmas party every year that he is expected to go to. They have no clue about gluten free or what that means in any way. I eat dinner before we go and have a cup of coffee there while everyone else eats. It's not that much fun watching people eat, but at least I'm not hungry and I won't get sick. My kids love to go because...
  6. Congratulations! You're doing great! My results were similar, at 6 months they had come down a lot, a year later they were all normal. It looks like you are doing everything right. Keep up the good work!
  7. I use McCormicks and have no issues with them.
  8. Cool! Let me know how it works for you!?
  9. Hi mbrookes! I make my own using this recipe from King Arthur flour. It turns out great and my family loves it. I double the recipe to make 2 large pizzas because I have 3 kids including 2 teen boys and there is never any left. https://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/gluten-free-pizza-crust-recipe
  10. You poor thing! I have had that happen too! It's ok. I now only eat at dedicated gluten free places as I have been glutened while eating out. Both of the places where I was glutened are supposed to be very knowledgeable about gluten free. When I am glutened it is terrible. With 3 kids to take care of I can't afford to be sick like that. So now I...
  11. Hi Mvh9! I'm so sorry that you are suffering like this! ((((Hugs)))) Definitely get that GI appointment scheduled sooner rather than later. Ask for a repeat celiac panel. You should get one yearly. My GI doc does that along with CBC, Metabolic Panel, Iron and Ferritin and Vitamin D and B12 yearly. It would be a good idea for you to have all...
  12. Congratulations! That is such great news! I'm sure that you feel great getting that result and knowing your hard work has paid off. ?
  13. Oh my goodness! Definitely a croissant! Also, go out to eat anywhere and order anything without asking questions. I miss that the most...
  14. I haven't, but they looked really good online.
  15. They have, yes. I love Canon's bagels so much! If you order by the case it's a much better price than the store. That's what we do. My store sells them for $7 For a 4 pack. But I can get a case of 24 online for $28.50 and sometimes can find a coupon code to save more. I love them toasted with sunbutter and I use them to make pizza bagels for my...
  16. Thank you again CL! You've been so helpful. I can't do the Starbucks sandwich...both soy and millet in there. Millet causes me terrible pain...found that out the hard way on vacation once.
  17. Thank you again CL! I was just looking at Kirari! That looks great too. I do need to find out if they use oats or millet first(can't have either), but it looks delicious! I'm so excited...I do so appreciate your help! We usually cook our own stuff and plan to for the most part, but it would be nice to have a night off from the kitchen on our...
  18. Thank you cyclinglady! You are, as always, a wealth of information! I really do appreciate your insights. I haven't been to San Diego in 8 years and it will be my first time going gluten free. We've decided to skip Sea World this time, but are doing the zoo and Balboa Park for sure. After reading your recommendation about Coronado we may just...
  19. Thank you so much again, RMJ...very helpful information!
  20. Thanks so much RMJ! I had looked at Healthy Creations...looks good. What do you recommend there? Also, is it kid friendly? I have 3 kids. ? I get horrible, long lasting symptoms from gluten, unfortunately. I was glutened on vacation 2 years ago and it ruined the rest of my trip. Any top recommendations on what to do with 3 kids? We have...
  21. Hi all, My family and I will be visiting San Diego in June! Although we plan to prepare a lot of our meals in the condo we rented, I would love some safe restaurant recommendations. I have been to findmeglutenfree.com already. I just want to see if anyone on here has traveled there and eaten out without any issues. Thanks so much!
  22. Hi there, I'm sorry that you have been suffering. That sounds awful! (((Hugs))) I agree with cyclinglady. Ask the Dr to order your full celiac panel. Get that started while you wait on the biopsy results. I hope that you feel better soon. Please keep us posted on your results!
  23. Thank you! That sounds delicious and like something my kids would really like! I ended up making chocolate cupcakes. I frosted half with vanilla and half with chocolate frosting and decorated each one differently. They looked so pretty and all got eaten.
  24. HI Lily...I just got an email from Canyon Bakehouse about their new sweet, Hawaiian bread and remembered you mentioning looking for a gluten-free alternative! Not the exact same as the rolls, but might work. Looks yummy! https://canyonglutenfree.com/buy-gluten-free-bread-products/stay-fresh-hawaiian-sweet
  25. Definitely do the scalloped potatoes! I am sure that your first gluten free Easter will be delicious and all of this gets easier the longer you do it!
