  1. I second this. I do react to oats...I so wish I didn't as I miss oatmeal. Definitely try cutting those to see if there's an improvement. Keep in mind that in terms of healing your intestine, 6 weeks is not a long time. You need a lot of patience with celiac...so much more than you anticipate at diagnosis.
  2. Hi Molly! Welcome and ((((hugs))))! The good news about being diagnosed as young as you are is that you likely don't have as much overall damage as people diagnosed later in life. So your recovery may be faster. Make sure that your doctor has tested you for common deficiencies that celiacs experience, B12, D and iron seem to be common ones...
  3. Awww JMG...I'm sorry you've been paid a call by those old friends of yours. Tell them to go away! Seriously though, it's so frustrating when one gets glutened and has no idea what the source is. Last year, on vacation, I was glutened and so very sick. I still have no idea what got me. A daily food journal is a great idea. I've kept one for ...
  4. Goodness, this sounds tough. Big ((((hugs)))) I agree with others that for now eat very bland, easy foods. When I've been glutened I go straight to chicken cooked all day in the crockpot, boiled potatoes, very well steamed carrots or asparagus. Maybe rice and bananas. But that's it. I will eat that for days until things calm down. I also drink...
  5. Hi Ravenu5! I feel your frustration! I have Hashis. After being diagnosed with celiac and continuing issues I ended up gluten, soy and dairy free. That led to my having kidney stones earlier this year and switching to a gluten free, soy free, low oxalate, adequate calcium diet...this led to high cholesterol. I'm super frustrated and annoyed. I broke...
  6. Thank you so much for letting us know. ((((((Hugs)))))) Alison has been on my mind a lot lately. It's amazing how much you can miss someone you've never met...but she was an exceptional person who had a positive impact on everyone. She was kind and wise...I'll always miss her presence. I am thankful that she is no longer in pain and that she...
  7. Hi Cristiana, Good for you to get it checked out! That was smart. 2 paleo websites that I like and have cooked from are ElanasPantry and AgainstAll Grain. Both have some yummy recipes. Just made one for dinner last night. I won't add any other info as it sounds like you've got lots to read already! I hope you get something figured out that...
  8. I'm so very sad to hear this. You will be greatly missed. You've been a wonderful source of comfort and inspiration to many...myself included. Thank you for everything you've done for us all. I'm crying typing this....so hard to hear. I do hope you continue to chime in...your wisdom is invaluable. Love and (((((((((((hugs)))))))))))
  9. Tonight I'm making chicken parmesan, garlic bead and green beans...yum.
  10. I hear you! I do. It can absolutely feel like it's one thing after another. I have felt the same and still feel extremely guarded about anything health related. I hope you get something figured out soon and feel better...you are so young! ((((Hugs)))) and congratulations on your marriage!

  15. Yum! Love turkey breast in the crock pot. We're headed to a minor league baseball game so I'm doing a quick dinner...pizza buns and roasted summer squash on the side.
  16. We grilled burgers last night too and some zucchini. Yum! Tonight we are having my kids' favorite...coconut flour crusted chicken tenders. I'm serving a tossed salad and roasted veggies with. I had some baking help today since school is out and we baked up chocolate chip cookies to have for dessert.

  19. Something got me too...but I can't for the life of me figure out what. So...yesterday I prepared my standard I feel awful but need some nutrition meal...chicken cooked in a crock pot in broth, boiled potatoes and steamed carrots. Will be eating that until the tummy settles. So much to do here too...we have less than 2 weeks left of school and there's...
