  1. Food Diary, Elimination Diet time....I hate those when you get something making you sick and you suspect everything and go OCD crazy cleaning and checking everything. On one of these right now and just learned my issues. >.< I was on antibiotics for several months for a infection, seems it led to a candidia overgrowth, and BAM new food intolerance popping...
  2. We have several members here that are NCGI (Non Celiac Gluten Intolerant) and must stick to a gluten free diet. Your symptoms do align with this, by the way sometimes the blood test gives a false negative with this disease. A endoscope with biopsy is golden standard for celiac diagnosis. If you really want you can stay on the gluten diet til the testing is...
  3. Probably in the withdrawal phase, like a drug addiction withdrawal but with gluten. Keep on going it gets better, there are some supplements to help make it better, and some you will find you might have to start taking. Magnesium, and B-vitamins are common issues among celiacs, and can cause all kinds of fatigue, fog, etc. These become much more noticeable...
  4. Jesus that is scary, bloody freaks out there making every day products out of stuff I have health issues with cause it is "Biodegradable".......reminds me of the time the local health food store thought corn starch plastic bio degradable bags were a good idea......not so much after my breakout, skin turned red looked like really bad poison ivy.etc,.....long...
  5. None of the name brad ones do to my knowledge, sounds like a daft idea in the first place. I mean wheat straw? That is going to get moldy and rot from getting wet, just a bad idea. Now there is a type of resin made from a processed form of wheat, but they normally do so in a way you would not have to worry about the proteins. NOW there is a additive in MOST...
  6. 800-1200mg of day of magnesium mix of Magnesium Citrate and Magnesium glycinate/lycinate, I work out a a lot and have severe issues with deficiency in it so a higher amount is needed and I spread the dose out 3 time a day.
  7. Sounds like a CC issue, or a nerve/brain issues that could be caused by nutrient deficiency. I get gluten ataxia issues when CCed with motor loss, numbness, and brain fog. This can also be caused by severe deficiency of B-vitamins, magnesium, potassium, and a few other vitamins and minerals that are required for our nervous system to function right. Those...
  8. OGSCHPOWSP170201 off of amazon that I got in, tested Negative for gluten I ran Nima and EZ SO at least current shelf product of the chili powder I can say is negative.
  9. I react to goat the same as dairy from cow, gas, bloating, constipation, some times nausea and vomiting. There are many dairy free options. I will post links to them and some recipes for dairy free cheese sauce and my dairy free cheesy bread this evening.
  10. Looks good for helping your get your nutrients out of your food and breaking stuff down, I like the fact it has some magnesium citrate it. I use Super Papaya Enzymes, Jarrow Enzymes, and extra bromelain. Might debate trying this Digestive Gold from Enzymepedia, pricing is a bit high though. What is your goal with it? Helping indigestion, better breaking...
  11. Celiac or UC flare, I have both, oddly enough carbs, trigger my UC. I removed grains, beans, fruit, all sugars and switched to a ketogenic diet. Certain other things cause the UC to flare like anything but the tiniest amount of garlic or onion, dill, vingars, and I have to watch pepper based (night shade like jalapeno, habanero, paprika, red pepper) spices...
  12. Been sorta silently watching this topic so I would not jump on it, I had issues with the needle prickly, itchy, sometimes fire like skin crawling way before my celiac dia. It seemed to be made worse in the mornings and nights, after working or strenuous activity, after being in the sunlight, or in a source of direct heat. Best description crawling needle...
  13. Cooking to long, more then a quick dip flash boil or pan drying em makes them rubbery. Trick is to add them last to stir fry, and try not to overboil them. More you Cook e tougher the texture
  14. I use Miracle Noodle brand and they are gluten-free and come in all kinds and forms. Great for a no grain or keto diet.
  15. Where are you? Nuts are gluten free by nature, some companies might use contaminated seasonings, or make them in a facility that processes trail mix or something with gluten in it. This is where your concern lies, A nut only company should be safe, unseasoned nuts are your best bet, and yest if you can get them in the shell then wash them off really well...
  16. Supplementation with Natural Vitality Stress & Energy, will help a lot it is a sublingual B-vitamin pretty much. I use it with the Neurological support from the same company and Natural Vitality Calm Magnesium. These along with a diet in foods that help with mood like snacking on cocoa nibs, hemp seeds, etc. Takes the edge off of everything and I do not...
  17. Get me the manufacturing date, and lot number on this please. I know some people in the company and will forward this to them. I am also notifying them of this thread. They are the only brand I use for spices and have not had ANY issues in over 4 years of using their spices.
  18. First have you been tested for celiac disease? Any doctor can do the blood test but you have to be eating gluten on a daily basis for the test to work, nut much just a half slice of bread a day. You should get this tested, the high constipation, coughing stuff up was very common for me before diagnosis. The coughing stuff up for me was from a allergy that...
  19. First off your typo was misread as "ButtHat"....second I should have elaborated on what I was saying and where I was going with that thought. If the company makes both malted milk, as in milk with barley malt, and instant plain powdered milk in the same facility could it be called gluten free? What if they use the same production or packaging lines on rotation...
  20. In some brands they use barley malt in it, malted milk is very common in powdered form and used in some recipes. I found powdered coconut milk recently and found it works good in some interesting ways in cooking. Very handy if you only need a few tbsp of the full fat stuff and not a whole can, you just adjust up the liquids proportionately.
  21. https://www.mygerbs.com/ They have seeds, fruit, etc all Nut, Peanut, and Gluten free. Look up Enjoy Life products also as they are free of all major allergens. >.< I have issues with peanuts myself but carbs/grains/sugars/corn are my other issues and I live on almonds and coconut. Unsure which of us have it worse lol.
  22. Cheerios have been hit and miss for years, it has to do with how they get and sort the oats, the processing etc. Even the testing they do is iffy, there are reports STILL coming in about them making celiacs sick. We normally suggest avoiding oats for the first few months then if you want try reintroducing gluten-free certified ones (I suggest gluten-free...
  23. Some cookware you can get rid of the gluten by running in the oven clean cycle then scrubbing. Gluten is a protein not a germ, so disinfectant will not get rid of it but high heat above 500F can destroy the proteins. This way you can save cast iron and some baking pans/sheets. To make double sure after, use foil and parchment paper in baking pans/dishes also...
  24. Figured I would update on this, up to 1000mg of amoxicillin (500mg twice a day) it does nothing anymore the infection is constant, white area above the tooth, pressure and issues breathing out my right nostril some days, pressure behind my right eye, and ringing in my right ear. Checked around as suggested still only 2 places willing to work with me (do...
  25. I find it amusing I brought this up to point out that discrimination is not something that should happen to those of us with this disease and if handled well we can compromise by bringing our own food where allowed and calling and contacting places prior to going explaining and setting things up. In this way we do not end up feeling out of place and can try...
