  1. Yep...I spent years with the binge eats, I still get it sometimes but since I changed to full paleo with Keto Macros it is not as bad. Just odd cravings sometimes. Digestive enzymes can help you get more nutrients from the food you eat, look at taking them to the macros you eat, RealZymes makes different formulas depending on your diet. | To this...
  2. Well most my extended family wants nothing to do with me anymore, I am adopted so no genetic relations. My parents were semi supportive, as in they tried to help me as long as they could still eat it in the same house back then and issues ensued to say the least til I made my own safe house to live in dedicated gluten free. Over the years I have come...
  3. Might be, mine went on for while slowly degrading, to the point of randomly losing motor control and being floored, to my brain just looping on a thought over and over like a broken record. Lost the ability to do computer programing, I lost most of my sensitivity to hot/cold in my hands, same thing with surface feeling (would not notice a cut from a knife...
  4. I have celiac but ignored the issues til I started having gluten ataxia issues. It really is the scariest thing in the world when your own body does not react like it should and starts turning against you and bugging out. My damage became quite severe, I lost the ability to do some things I even went to college for, I lost some feelings for hot/cold and touch...
  5. Reminds me of my magnesium deficiency issues years ago. IN some rare extreme cases it does happen, stress both mental and physical would flare it, I used to go jump in a cold shower to stop it. I later found Epson Salt soaks helped it (the magnesium can be absorbed through the skin. I later started supplementing and still to this day take it it daily. Supplementing...
  6. Yeah wolf brand is not safe....learned that years ago, heck it used to be made in the next town over and I grew up on it...after dia. and the diet I learned it was not safe anymore. Make my own from scratch now days.
  7. Bit late but dealing with various issues. Medical, oh recall the scope I went to get down and MOSTLY covered by medicare so I only had to pay $50 down and $50 a month for 4 months for the hospital? Well now the GI doc is billing AGAIN for some $10 (random) and then the LAB contacts me saying I need to pay over $2k for pathology reports....what?! I have...
  8. @Rex For the almond flour try http://alldrinbrothers.refr.cc/jackvineyard The referral code will get you a discount and as you can see a 25lb case of almond flour even with shipping straight from the farm is much cheaper then anywhere else. IE $4.49/lb Blanched Fine or $3.99/lb for Natural almond flour Coconut Secret you contact them directly about...
  9. You would need a new dedicated gluten free fryer, the oil is contaminated, and even changing it and doing a boil out would not fix it as gluten proteins would be present in tiny amounts. If you use gluten flour anywhere in your kitchen/food truck/commissary you risk making customers with celiac sick. It can stay air borne and settle everywhere for over...
  10. So in a effort to make meat loafs I have gone through several versions with 3 I still do I use 2 cooking methods depending on time, I can cook normally in the oven in a meat loaf pan (made to drain the grease) Or I can use my instapot version and do it in smaller loafs each a bit over 1lb 2 at a time. First I will start with the one I often fix my parents...
  11. From the college standpoint you might look at Nordicware Microwave cookware or something similar, be sure to get the splatter cover for the grilling plate, and put down paper towels. I often take a set with me to cook on the go >.< Or bring a induction cook top and my own skillet. I do recall the days of being sick all the time, sleeping most the day...
  12. I also talk about my disease a lot, it rules my life, it times when I do everything, it keeps me from going out much or doing what many consider normal social activities....I have stacked issues with celiac, odd allergies, pancreas issues, ulcerative colitis, autism, bipolar, adhd. I learned form years of abuse and dealing with people that endangered my life...
  13. All blood test checking for antibodies like that require you to be eating the offensive product for 12 weeks daily. Some people do test negative on the test but still have the damage, another route would be to only eat gluten for 2 weeks daily and get the endoscope with biopsies done to check for intestinal damage.
  14. I recently found Topical Iron Patches you place on your skin for iron supplementation. Might be worth looking into, I think I did a post on them last week in the medications/food section. >.< I myself used high iron food like pea protein by growing naturals but was only able to get my iron up when I started taking Vitamin C also. It seems to boost your...
  15. Aaaand the online support community basically predicted them from seeing hundreds of others with celiac. Well at least the doctor is giving your the results ASAP. Many people have to pester their doctors and keep asking and basically interrogate their doctors for answers and test results.

  17. I am a bit of a extreme case and suffered some ataxia damage, but for me to work right I still have to take a full B-vitamin complex and neurological vitamin supplement, along with magnesium, vitamin D, CBD, and found I work best on a Paleo based diet with Keto macros. But I am addressing other AI issues, glucose/pancreas issues and hte fact my body runs...
  18. I have a bucket list of gluten foods for my family to bring me on my death bed . But I would not eat them unless I was dying anyway. I have found Gluten free version of everything, harder is when you can not have starches to simulate that gooy texture or sugars....I do some fun things every now and then making baked goods with 2-6tbsp of psyllium husk in...
  19. I was recently contacted by a company that makes Vegan eggs, and goat cheese that is also gluten free and paleo, they sent my store a sample packs and even threw in this "Egg Salt" which is a black salt that taste just like hard boiled eggs. Supposed to be used on their Vegan Egg product called Scramblit but I found it very versatile. The cheeses are exactly...
  20. I feel defensive about it and people walking around with beers lol, I also have a corn and dairy allergy. I constantly feel like I am being stalked by people with poison trying to kill me. Bad enough being autistic but throw in that constant fear, ruined so many aspects of my life I just work for myself making safe place.
  21. Had this ad show up today and it looked intriguing. The iron ones look very useful for those who have issues taking iron pills and getting sick. The B-vitamin and vitamin D ones also look good to me. https://www.patchmd.com/All-Products_c_1-1-14.html https://www.patchmd.com/Iron-Plus-Topical-Patch.html https://www.patchmd.com/B12-Energy-Plus-Topical...
  22. LOL, well you only need to worry about the seeds on them that contain gluten. But no issues unless your drying them out and mulching them or some how grinding the seeds where the powder can be inhaled (trapped in mucus in nose/throat then ingested later) or somehow in your mouth. You might want to go ahead and pull up the stalks in your garden and toss them...
  23. Yes you should wash your fruit and veggies...dear god I got glutened by veggies quite often from one store...they have the open veggies right next to a open air bakery where they are literally tossing dough in loose flour for making tortillas. >.< I started buying the bagged stuff but I still wash it. PS most fruit and veggies have a chemical/wax...
  24. Everything Cyclinglady said, but I would like to point out, SIBO is common with people with celiac, our damaged intestines make the perfect place for them to set up. I might suggest a dual treatment, I do not know if your doctor talked to you about it, but look into a SIBO diet in addition to the antibiotics. BUT be sure to keep your son eating gluten until...
  25. Extra Protein, and Fat, I do best with vegan proteins, collagen, and bone broth protein powders, and tons of egg whites. Decent amount of fat (I eat keto macros with a higher protein ratio), Try adding in almond butters, sunbutter, avocados etc to up the fat intake. I take digestive enzymes in ratio to what I eat to break down the food and was only able...
