  1. "If you are currently on a gluten-free diet, your physician may recommend a gluten challenge to allow antibodies to build in your bloodstream prior to testing. The recommended gluten intake for the gluten challenge is two slices of wheat-based bread per day for 6-8 weeks. A gluten challenge should only be supervised by a physician trained in celiac disease...
  2. Took me about 2 years to stop thinking about cheating, a bad gluten exposure in 2016 with a so called gluten free meal at a restaurant royally messed me up. I have not eaten food prepared by anyone else or eaten at a non dedicated restaurant since then. The general rule on the bread....give up all forms for a year, then you just accept the Gluten free...
  3. If you want to try it, I have had a lot of luck with keto based diets just upped my protein when bulking to gain more mass then cut it back to cut. Mix with daily cardio, 5-10miles a day, 30-60mins weight training daily (different groups on rotation), and when cutting times come I do intermittent fasting once in ketosis and my body slims down to single digit...
  4. Just looked at the product you mentioned, while it does appear to be gluten and dairy free, I assume your getting gastric distress from it still? The large amount of carbs in it could be causing issues. I myself had to give them up a while back due to glucose issues and found my gut was much happier with a lower carb diet. But everyone is different in this...
  5. That is the name of a company, I have been using their Beef Protein Powder for a few months without issues, Frankly it is the cheapest I could find at $28 a kilo on Amazon.
  6. I would say give up the whey based gainers, look for Beef Protein by Julian Bakery, or Bulk Supplements, and Egg White Protein By Julian Bakery. I also add in cheaper Collagen proteins from various brands that are gluten free. IF you find a good gives you issues the best thing is to remove it from your diet for at least 6 months and see if the intolerance...
  7. I have used Pomona for years, it is also useful for making jams that are sugar free, but they state on their website if you scroll down that it is gluten free. https://pomonapectin.com/ https://www.amazon.com/s?k=pomona+pectin&hvadid=78683895281724&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvqmt=e&tag=mh0b-20&ref=pd_sl_7zh8j7js3g_e
  8. Yeah, been dealing with that for years, mine is due to nerve damage from gluten ataxia, nerve test a few years led to this being found out. It has slightly improved the last few years but I still take porcine pancreas enzymes with meals along with extra enzymes in ratio to my macros. But I also have UC that contributes to my diarrhea. It would probably...
  9. I had constipation most of my life, the Diarrhea did not start happening til I went gluten free for years then a later exposure. You should keep eating gluten for now and see about getting the actual blood screening done to see if you have the disease, and a follow up endoscope to confirm. https://celiac.org/about-celiac-disease/screening-and-diagnosis...
  10. Celiac Disease you immune system reacts to gluten in Barley, Wheat, and Rye. Natural Fruits, Nuts, and Seeds would be fine, if processed in a gluten free facility. Dairy can be a issue at first, as the disease causes you immune system to destroy the villi in your intestines, these villi also produce the enzymes to break down dairy so a intolerance is common...
  11. Sounds like my ataxia on the mild side, have to be a bit more vigilant when you have ataxia reactions, it can cause damage that takes much longer to heal. The tingling will wean off til it becomes less noticeable, mine normally hit in waves and the weakness was random. Worse times it would leave me unable to move on the floor.
  12. The enzymes to break down dairy are produced from the tips of the villi in the intestines which get destroyed with celiac disease. The damaged villi also the cause for undernourishment despite eating food, as they are what allow you to absorb the nutrients from your food. Some people get wasting others get inflammation issues and the body constantly storing...
  13. I went with a bunch of scrambled eggs, with shredded bacon, and mashed up some avocados with them for breakfast. Lunch was weird, I had some product from my store called SPERO Scramblit Egg replacement that was nearing best buy date so I used it with some real eggs and minced leftover steaks....sorta tasted like beef curry and eggs. I tend to fast from ...
  14. Meaning to reply much earlier...but issues with the site made it unable to be accessed for over 4 days. Topped with IRL issue. Seems most of thing topics were covered very well, but I wanted to point out that sometimes food intolerance and sensitives come and go and wax and wane even with a build up. I find some foods I can eat one day then not the next,...
  15. The blood test checks for antibodies, if your not eating gluten then your body does not go on the attack and produce the antibodies. A colonoscopy would not show any celiac damage as it is for the large intestine, a endoscopy is used going down the throat, through the stomach and checks damage in the small intestines, many times the damage can only be seen...
  16. Flax Eggs are what I use in most baked goods when I get a Egg free request. You mix 1tbsp ground flax with 2 and a half tbsp water and let it congeal a bit, this works wonders in muffins, brownies, and cookies, less so in soft cakes and breads.
  17. Stick to the Eggs, veggies, fruit. in most of these, double check meats in theses, a few are safe but others have additives. I have been paleo based for years about keto with my macros though. https://www.thrivelife.com/all-products/gluten-free.html https://www.augasonfarms.com/Food-Storage/Gluten-Free?limit=100 https://www.wisefoodstorage.com/emergency...
  18. I know everyone is different but I found Pea protein always caused bloating and gas when my gut was unhappy. Soy you should probably avoid as a male, it can mess with your hormones. I do well on Egg White protein, and Beef Protein Isolate, along with pumpkin seed protein. I found I did best on a Paleo based diet, and keto macros but that is again just me...
  19. Been doing a whole lot of recipe testing, carrot cake muffins took 4 tries to get right, then adjusted that to be zucchini breakfast muffins, just made up a batch of lemon cream cheese cookies (used Miyoko cream cheese to keep it diary free)...well 3 dozen. Going to be deep frying up some catfish on Friday and serving with homemade coleslaw, I am thinking...
  20. A bit of a idea came to me, but it seems some of us have better access to many foods in more abundance then others, perhaps we should set up a sharing/shipping post? For instance down here in Texas where I am the stores are well stocked with canned goods, canned fish, canned meats, nuts, the Entire gluten-free section in my local walmart is stocked, etc....
  21. Check MyGerbs, they specialize in allergy free snacks and have dried fruits and seeds.
  22. Testing is done via a blood test to check for antibodies for gluten followed by a endoscopy with biopsies to check for damage to the villi in the small intestines. You do need to be eating gluten for 6-8 weeks prior at least 2 slices of bread a day. https://celiac.org/about-celiac-disease/screening-and-diagnosis/screening/ https://celiac.org/about-celiac...
  23. I have used it on and off for a few years when trying something not labeled, new, or from a shared facility. ...no major signs of exposure. I recently had to make it a daily regiment as I am having to turn to local brands for some foods that are made on shared facilities I do not trust and I found I tend to also digest some other foods better with it that...
  24. I started on Ultima Electrolyte powder, I needed something sugar free and free of artificial sweeteners. Been on it for months, best deals are to wait for 20% off sales from Vitacost or Thrive Market (if a member of the latter)
  25. Been working on this for the past 4 days and got it about perfect. 120g (1 cup) Almond Flour 100g (1/2 cup) Swerve Granular (Erythritiol) 2tbsp Flax Meal 2 tsp Baking Powder 2 tsp Cinnamon Powder 1tsp Ginger Powder 1/4 tsp Nutmeg Powder 1/4 tsp Salt 60g (1/2 cup) Chopped Walnuts 1/2 Cup Melted Nutivia Butter Flavored Coconut Oil ...
