  1. Dear admin, stop taking money for "News" post and start vetting them yourself first. If it is "Real" has scientific backing, and is actually useful to the community then post it as "News". Your going to seriously degrade the reliability and creditably of the site with "b$#@@#$$" articles. No offense intended but I am really seeing much more of this and it...
  2. Reminds me of my iron debacle trying to find one. I tried Jarrows first but did not realize it had dairy in it and had a bad reaction, moved to another brand my GI suggested and got constipation, tried NOW foods and got cross contamination, moved to Lucky Vitamins brand but found it upped my folic acid and and B-vitamins too much as it also had them in it...
  3. Yeah I am starting a area support one first for people in Central Texas and DFW area. Might do some others later.
  4. Rum is made from molasses so naturally gluten free, PLUS it is a distilled liquor so double gluten free. Be careful of flavored ones, Captain Morgan and Bacardi are both ones that have responded to E-Mails and confirmed gluten free. I personally use Admiral Nelsons in my cooking, the coconut rum, works great for sautes.
  5. Seriously F the damned SS stuff. I lost my SSI at the end of August. I got transferred to another program, lost medicaid, had to refile and argue for 2 hours to get back on food stamps. AND they expect me to pay $698.95 for my medications now when my income is just $800 a month If not for my family I would be dead or under a bridge. I mean really I get billed...
  6. I had some really odd results. I contacted 8 companies about donating gluten free food, allergen friendly foods, and supplies.I was collecting for both San Antonio Food Bank and for UMCOR. Out of these 8 companies 3 denied me but instead posted on their social media how to help by donating to the San Antonio Food Bank within days of me messaging...
  7. Toss it, The thing about immersion blenders is where the shaft goes into the head onit right under the blades. The seal there is not actually 100% liquid proof.....at least not with the higher end cusinart ones. I took the motor fitting piece off mine once to clean it better and found over all the years it had been sucking stuff up into the shaft slowly....
  8. I have not tried to lose weight since high school....but back then celiac disease made me sleep almost all day....anyway I had a bit of luck with the cabbage soup diet back then. Was make a huge put of cabbage soup. you eat this daily for lunch and dinner. Breakfast you changed it up each day. The diet had this odd perculiers. The base soup was 2 cloves of...
  9. Capellos sells and ships fresh gluten free ones. Alternative version use zucchini sliced thin length wise.
  10. The muscle soreness and a few of the other issues can associated with a Magnesium Deficiency, at EXTREMES it normally also has a odd kind of skin feeling were you feel needle pricks or rolling fire on your skin. Mildly and beginning you normally are just tired, fogged, muscle aches, and cramp a lot especially in the mornings with your legs. B-vitamins...
  11. Miracle Noodles for all pasta types and rice. Grain free, low carb, and gluten free.
  12. Vegan Bacon Cheese Dip Feel free to half the recipe for a smaller batch this makes about 5-6cups depending of if you want to thin it out a little or like it extra thick. 10tbsp coconut flour 6-8tbsp Nutritional Yeast (I used 6 but 8 makes it nuttier) 2 tsp Smoked paprika 2 tsp Psyllium husk unflavored 4 cups unsweetened Nut milk (I used cashew makes...
  13. They label it gluten-free...but looking over their products....a few products labeled gluten-free contain autolyzed yeast extract which normally contains just over 20ppm of gluten. (check with GFWD and other creditable sources on this) This makes me question their entire company as a whole, they also have a few items that contain gluten directly I see issues...
  14. Perhaps a better approach. as many of us have to live in a gluten-free house and environment, would it not be great if some of us offered up say a "SAFE" guest room to other members traveling? I mean think about it a club on here where we say the area we live in, the attractions around it, and our accommodations and lack of certain allergens/food issues...
  15. This is a interesting topic, in what foods is the citric acid in? I have never heard of oats being used in citric acid productions. But I have found some foods, fermented or stored in a certain way bother me. I have chocked this up to a moderate histamine reactions. Again oddly some bother me some do not. Like my body is a picky child. Overly ripe tomatoes...
  16. I use Califlour Plant crust, dairy free, grain free, egg free, soy free, and low starch. Depending on prebake I can get extra crispy new york style or go with a bit chewy. I have use cappellos also. and Julian bakery and simple mills make a pizza crust dough you can use to make Chicago style crust in a spring form pan grain free. There is another grain free...
  17. Like Area clubs... want to start a cooking club, ketogenic/paleo club, and a DFW texas or central texas club
  18. Name brand Zyrtec has no corn starch in it unlike the generic versions. All generics for it use corn starch, the main brand does not and has not caused any issues for me. I did a bit of a test letting it dissolve in my mouth and checking for mouth sores/blood blisters that corn gives me and had none nor was the later fever present. Could be the antihistamines...
  19. This all touches on a interesting subject, I had to stop and pulse my last few pills of my UC meds, Upon coming off them I have no clue if Gluten reactions of some kind or a UC flare up. My intestines hurt, that lower right sides hurts, I have distention, and when I press on my gut it feels like my intestines are huge and full they have a hard feeling like...
  20. I recently got some of walmarts generic brand, as the name brand I was told to use by my doctor contained dairy. The equate brand I picked up I dumped a capsule into my nima to test it and got no gluten smile face on the test. Seems to be working well, bit more regular this week til today (UC flare up different story).
  21. I question this also, gluten is a protein that is not effected by bleach, alcohol, or antibacterial agents. Only way to destroy gluten proteins is via 500+ degree heat. SOO my mental image with a blow torch is quite amusing. Joking aside, I got new keyboards when I went gluten free as was the suggested approach. At work or when using other keyboards I bulk...
  22. Yeah I have a sort of gluten ataxia, it effects my nervous system and brain. Straight gluten poisoning can cause complete motor loss where I just drop to the floor unable to move, I also get the vomiting around this time....yeah stuck unable to move in a pile of your own vomit. I have a lingering effect for weeks after were I have extreme numbness in my...
  23. They are highly processed you could be reacting to one of the other ingredients, many develop issues with xantham gum for example, some people have issues with other grains, everyone is different with this disease and due the the way it effects the immune system you can easily develop food intolerance issues and allergies. I personally got a whole list, and...
  24. I body build myself, look into Nutra Key the V-pro vegan one is a good blend, MRM has various ones I use the Veggie elite from that. I also use various other proteins and bars from Julian Bakery (love julian keto options for gluten-free breads) and Jarrow. I use the ketogenic diet approach and eat a ton of fats, very low to no carbs, and over 250g of protein...
  25. I use Sir Kensingtons, Coconut Secret, and OrganicVille condiments in my cooking and chef work (I do specialty chef work cooking gluten free meals for people) both are all gluten free. Spice wise I mostly use Spicely Organics, with the exceptions of personal use I sometimes use The Spice House Sausage blends and tomato powder, And I have blends from Big AXE...
