    That does sound exactly like the smell of a person's breath when they have ketones present in their blood. I've been a tightly controlled type one diabetic for a long time, so I haven't given off that smell in ages.     Quick question...I was checking the label out on a carton of ice cream today at the grocery store, and everything looked safe. Then I came to "stabilizers". I wasn't sure, so I didn't buy it. I've checked my gluten encyclopedia reference book and they don't have a listing for "stabilizers". Does anyone know if stabilizers mean possible gluten?

    Type one diabetes here...and there is a definite connection. Ten to fifteen percent of all diabetics also have celiac disease. Can you believe my endocrinologist, who I have been seeing for twenty-five years, knew NOTHING of this connection??!! I told him to get busy and start running the celiac panel on all his diabetic patients. Doctors........don...
