I've had a swollen gland in my neck similar to what you described. I found that taking thiamine helps immensely. Here's an article that you might find helpful..... http://wandererandhome.weebly.com/heal-yourself/vitamin-b1-thiamine I had started taking more thiamine for my Type Two Diabetes, and my neck gland went away. Later I found that...

Mummu said her daughter was "constantly nauseated, tired, and having little to no interest in eating. She's lost weight and I'm worried she may be becoming depressed" I agree with M.Martha. The Autoimmune diet without dairy and nightshades really helped me. Also, I had a thiamine deficiency. Once I started the Lipothiamine and regular...

Anger, Quick Temper, Depression
knitty kitty replied to gfgypsyqueen's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I disagree with this statement. Mental conditions are not "already there" in people with Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease causes malabsorption which results in malnutrition. Vitamin and mineral deficiencies can cause changes in one's mental state. High levels of histamine released in the body's attempt to protect itself from gluten can cause... -
Anger, Quick Temper, Depression

Gluten migraines and other food sensitivities

Taking a B Complex supplement in addition to the B 12, might be advantageous. The eight essential B vitamins all work together and because they are water soluble, they need to be replenished every day. B 12 needs folate, thiamine (B 1) and riboflavin (B 2) and pyridoxine (B 6) to function fully. Supplementing with Riboflavin, Vitamin B 2, has been... -
Hi, Ennis! I hope your ambulance works out for you. There's a technical school nearby that rebuilt a man's truck when it was stolen and trashed. I wonder if a technical school near you would be interested in helping to refit your truck. Are you supplementing calcium? Calcium and magnesium need a balance. I remember you don't do dairy, and...

Yeah, but sodas are like potato chips, you can't have just one. If someone is drinking sodas regularly and consuming some magnesium in their diet, it may be a gradual process, like two steps forward and one step back, where a gradual subclinical deficiency progressively worsens over time. Magnesium is stored in bones and tissue. Depletions of these stores...

Terrible gas from red meats
knitty kitty replied to Felix Nuts Tomcat's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Red meat contains a lot of sulfur. People with Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) often have an abundance of sulfur-gas producing bacteria, hence the rotten egg smell of sulfur gas. You may want to adopt a low sulfur diet that also follows the Autoimmune (Paleo) Protocol diet. http://www.gidoctor.net/diet-low-sulfur.php Hope this... -
High fructose corn syrup (HFCS) is really bad for you! HFCS has to be processed through the liver just like alcohol. This processing in the liver requires lots of thiamine. Processing sugars and carbohydrates requires lots of thiamine, too. When the liver runs low on thiamine, instead of turning HFCS into energy, the HFCS is stored as fat in the liver...

Celiac Disease causes malabsorption which results in malnutrition. Checking for nutritional deficiencies is part of follow up care for you. Vitamin D deficiency is a very common deficiency in newly diagnosed Celiacs. Vitamin D is extremely important to intestinal health. My Vitamin D level was severely deficient before diagnosis. I supplemented...

Hi there. Work on getting your Vitamin D levels up. I found a daily dose raised my level faster than once a week. Vitamin D will help with the depression, too, making it easier to wean off antidepressants. Vitamin D will also help calm down your intestinal tract. I found an article for you... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles...

CB, sorry to hear you're still having problems. Deficiency of Vitamin B12 can cause diarrhea. It's a frequently overlooked symptom. Did you discuss with your doctor what to do about the B12 deficiency? Shots or oral supplements? Perhaps your doctor can refer you to a nutritionist or dietitian. You need B12 to help lower your histamine levels...

Sometimes it's the amount of histamine that trips my reaction trigger. Like you have a cup that is half full of histamine from the bananas, but the added avocado filled your cup up to overflowing and there's a reaction. Every body is different and may tolerate different levels of histamine before it triggers a reaction. Yes, figuring out what's right...

Yes, I did reverse my fatty liver! I had been very ill, and much was due to malnutrition. Newly diagnosed Celiacs are often low in many vitamins and minerals. Be sure to discuss supplementing with your doctor. Correcting deficiencies in Vitamin D and magnesium can help, too. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/29480918 Kitty

Welcome to the forum! Celiac Disease has over 300 different symptoms of which you can have any combination. Talk about winning the lottery! The sweet infection taste makes me think of Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO) which can occur with Celiac Disease. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3099351/ SIBO is also...

Hi, Susan! Welcome to the forum! Paprika is a spice derived from peppers. Peppers are a member of the nightshade family. Other nightshades are tomatoes, potatoes, and eggplants. Nightshade vegetables contain alkaloids that encourage "leaky gut" syndrome, especially potatoes. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12479649 I have problems...

Reflux related cough anyone?
knitty kitty replied to cristiana's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
I'm so glad the information was helpful to you! ?. Remember the eight essential B vitamins all work together and we need minerals, too. Copper deficiency is often overlooked in anemia. If you're low in Vitamin D, you may be low in the other fat soluble vitamins, too, like vitamin A, which helps in iron absorption. And, as Ennis said, Vitamin C helps with... -

Reflux related cough anyone?
knitty kitty replied to cristiana's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Thiamine deficiency will cause a collection of fluid in the lungs. Thiamine is necessary for the proper growth and function of T and B cells. Thiamine deficiency will cause a cough. Welcome, Francis! Yes, I've experienced uveitis. Horrible experience. My heart goes out to you. Turned out my Vitamin D level was very severely low. Your eyes need vitamin D and Vitamin A to keep the eyes lubricated. Celiacs have trouble absorbing enough of the fat soluble vitamins, Vitamins A, D, E, and K. Your eyes also need these water soluble...

Welcome, Alice! My mom had oral lichen planus, Celiac Disease and thyroid problems. Seems several autoimmune diseases are carried along with the Celiac genes.
