  1. I know some have disagreed. Whatever. I live in Omaha. Most of our pizza and pasta restaurants are great. And safe. Biaggi’s is one of my top two safest restaurants in town. Pasta Amore’s manager is a celiac. Do your research.
  2. Of course. I do that regularly. But don’t dissuade folks from pizza and pasta joints. IMHO, they are often among the safest. Blessings.
  3. Pasta and pizza places are some of the safest. They have gluten-free pizza and pasta. Dumb article.
  4. Echo this. Cross contamination is everywhere. And GliadinX does help. A lot.
  5. I started falling last year. Diagnosed with Gluten ataxia. Have your magnesium levels been checked? Once my docs got my magnesium addressed, no more falls. Also, look into GliadinX or it’s competitors. They prevent cross contamination for me. Makes eating out much safer. Blessings.
  6. My gluten-free faves are Heath bars and M & Ms.
  7. Have your docs check. They tried regular magnesium supplements for me, and the 4 hour infusions. Neither worked. Then they put me on 8 doses of slow magnesium a days. Tingling and falls stopped. Good luck.
  8. Sounds like neuropathy. Lots of possible causes. I had similar sensations, plus tremors and falls, until my docs caught my low magnesium level and got it addressed.
  9. Might be gluten ataxia. Hang in there.
  10. Bless you. I struggled with depression for decades before being diagnosed with celiac. I still struggle at times, but it is so much better. I hope you find a way forward. Sharing our difficulties and tips and helps. Again, blessings.
  11. Be assured, there are others out here who sympathize with you.
  12. Try meditation and prayer. Blessings.
  13. It has changed my life. Although I did have a near fall for the first time in months last night. Thank God my wife was there to steady me. God is good.
  14. Our Parish does food pantry drives twice a month. I make sure my donations are all gluten-free. Everything helps.
  15. Understand that the will heal somewhat, but my doc told me I could go gluten-free. Bestdvice, talk to your docs. as to restaurants,so many more choices. Do you have Culver’s? Great burgers, and dedicated fryers. And yes, Jersey Mike’s and Firehouse have gluten-free bread and take it seriously. They formally clean slicers before, and change gloves and...
  16. You have typical symptoms. But there are so many, over 300. Brain fog and fatigue were two of mine. Get tested. Hang in there.
  17. Great advice. I got glutened at a Ritz hotel on a “gluten-free” lobster roll. The. Mayo was gluten-free , but they found out it was being cross contaminated. They told me they were going dedicated Mayo going forward.
  18. I have four autoimmune diseases. Last year, I started falling. Diagnosed with gluten ataxia. My docs tried several approaches, but finally settled on magnesium. Infusions didn’t work, but they then put me on an 8 times dosage of oral slow magnesium. The falls stopped. Check with your docs on this. Sure worked for me.
  19. Yes. Welcome to a whole new world.
  20. Your ped is an ass. As advised, have the whole family go gluten free as soon as you can. You can eat out, but it is a minefield that you have yo learn very cautiously. Blessings.
