soy can really inflame my joints with arthritis. I have been gluten free and soy free for 7months. I also stay away from peppers, tomatoes and potatoes which can do the same. -

To knitty kitty OMG I just looked up nightshades and that's it spaghetti sauce! I thought night shades were just potatoes. I have arthritis too and read about a list of foods I shouldn't eat years ago [ tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant, peppers] I didn't know that tobacco was one too. I quit smoking 5 months ago and it seemed unusually too easy.

I've been making a cake every week that is delicious, gluten free, and soy free. I was so mad I threw it away. Then things got worse! did I spoil myself or was that really mean.

I have been taking super B-complex and vitamin D but with glutening I don,t think my body was absorbing it. I went to the health food store and bought sublingual B-12 and gluten-zyme [ an enzyme that breaks down the gluten because our stomachs cant. it helps. Mabey I should take more vit D

I just stopped taking birth control pills. I was taking them because my period would never stop. Everyday like clock work it would start again. 5 weeks gluten-free and my last period, if that's what it was, was so different. what usually lasted 2-3 days on the pill, lasted 30 min and stopped.

I also heard that beans from a can should be avoided for at least the first six months. I learned that the hard way. I wonder if the tomatoes were canned and could have made a big difference. wendie -

I tried the ragu with brown rice linguini and had no issues. I wouldn't touch spaghetti for years before I knew I was gi. I always thought it was the acidity that made me feel like id been run over by a truck for the next three days. it wasn't the sauce, at least not for me. -

have you ever tried buckwheat honey. I think its awesome and I don't swell from it like I do other honeys. theres also a hot cereal made from buckwheat and milled with flaxseed but it is not a wheat and is gluten free
