  1. I believe as long as you are good about always being gluten free your blood test numbers should be normal and you shouldn't develop other issues. There are always exceptions, but for most it's just a game of avoid the gluten.
  2. Pain in the hip and leg is quite common when the sacroiliac joint is out. A physical therapist can check if your hip is out and teach you how to put it back in yourself. It can take a month of exercises to get it to stay in on its own.
  3. You can try a very basic diet of meat, eggs, cooked vegetables and see if your numbers reach normal. If so, gradually add ingredients until you find the culprit.
  4. Udis chicken florentine (gluten free) is as addictive as Lean Cuisine Swedish meatballs (not gluten free). So if you used to eat the swedish meatballs then you'll like the Udis chicken florentine.
  5. 7ish years ago. I'm in the group that doesn't get better by just going gluten free. Yes I have tried dairy free with no positive results. Only liquid diet allows my numbers to go down (extremely slowly).
  6. Warning: I am able to have dairy. My protein drink is 1/3 scoop Fitness Labs 100% whey protein mixed in Morning Moos chocolate drink (3 heaping tablespoons). I go through a #10 can of chocolate drink every week. Mashed potato soup: If you can't have dairy leave out the cheese and use earth balance fake butter. Doesn't taste as good without...
  7. I use Vitamin Friends iron gummies with success (strawberry). I'm on a 100% liquid diet at the moment. I take my supplements at the beginning of having a bowl of soup. I then have my protein drink approx 1 1/2 hours later. This seems to keep my stomach happy. I try to avoid powdery pills. Gummy multivitamin, gummy B complex, gummy iron, Liquid magnesium,...
  8. You have about 15 feet of small intestine. Endoscopy sees the first foot. So you can still have damage that has not yet healed further along the pipe. If you never eat outside of your home you can buy those Ez gluten test strips and test everything you consume. If you do eat away from home you could be getting glutened out there. In my case all...
  9. My last hospital stay my friend brought my cooler to my room with my food in it. Nurse would heat up my soup container for me.
  10. In your position I would have her switch her cereal and oatmeal over to gorilla munch cereal. It's gluten-free, and corn-based. I would also try a more limited diet for a month and retest the numbers to see if they go down at all. If they're still not going down then I would limit the diet more and see if I can get the numbers to go down. I would definitely...
  11. I have Zanier heated gloves, but my Marmot Expedition mittens work better for walking the dogs. When your core and head are cold your body sacrifices the extremities or so I've been told.
  12. I've had Raynauds since high school. Try keeping your core warmer by wearing a vest under your jacket and a hat.
  13. I used to use Oil of Olay sensitive skin, but when I got a Nima Sensor it tested positive for gluten and I switched to Jergens Daily moisture fragrance free. Nima isn't meant for testing non food products, but I can't take the risk.
  14. Vacuum the crumbs and use the self clean cycle on your oven. Wash hands before nail biting or take up gum chewing instead if that works. Clean off the residue completely then put in dishwasher if they are dishwasher safe. Buy a Nima Sensor to test food you are unsure about. No. At three months is a good first test to...
  15. It sounds like you were not given the full celiac panel. The full celiac panel includes: TTG IGA TTG IGG DGP IGA DGP IGG EMA IGA You have to be eating gluten daily for 12 weeks before the blood test. A positive on any one blood test should lead to a gastroenterologist doing an endoscopy /biopsies to confirm a celiac diagnosis.
  16. It can't hurt to do the full celiac blood test.
  17. Lab results are useless without ranges so call your doctor and ask for a hard copy of the results. I'm guessing they just gave you a number over the phone.
  18. Your results should include normal ranges. Can you post the ranges as well?
  19. If your test results give a range and your number is above the normal range then your next step is to have a gastroenterologist do an endoscopy/biopsies to confirm a celiac diagnosis.
  20. You can put her on a simple, bland diet for a month to see if she starts to feel any better. Try bland homemade soups and stews.
