  7. hello, im in a similar situation, i was dx'ed sept 2003, from inconclusive tests, but my doc has a pretty good understanding of celiac disease and said i most definitly have it. but of course my curiousity got the best of me and i went on a gluten diet 8 months ago so i could redo the blood tests (which i completly regret now!), im going this tuesday to see...
  8. I have a question for all of you here. my husband is a self-diagnosed celiac. he's been gluten free for the past week and most of his symptoms have improved so much. but yesterday at work he ate pizza because their was nothing around, and we couldnt go out because he was so sick. most of his life he's had the brain fog, stomach pains, constipation or d. ...
  9. i need another opinion, my doc appt got bumped to january 10th, tuesday. and i have already gone gluten free as of monday, my appt was supposed to be yesterday. but i feel a little better already and i dont want to start eating gluten again, will it affect the blood test if i am gluten free for a week before the test? or am i safe to continue eating gluten...
  10. hi, its called keratosis pilaris, and i have it also. i started a thread not long ago about the same thing, it seems that it definitly goes away with a gluten free diet.for the past 8 months i have been eating gluten to do more blood tests and it has gotten much worse and spread all over, but im gluten free since monday and i hope to see it goes away soon...
  11. hi jen, i definitly noticed a connection bewteen the 2! i really can't wait to go gluten free again, im having pizza tonight (i know, i know...) and tommorrow its gluten free for life! my doctors appoutnment is on tuesday, it shouldnt affect the test if im gluten free for a few days before will it? alexis
  12. great post, i also have the same issue. before i was diagnosed, i didnt really lose any weight or gain, but when i went gluten free i lost 20lbs without even trying, and my diet was the best it has ever been. which left me at a healthy weight, that stabilized for about a year while i was living abroad, then i came back to the usa, where theres a ton of gluten...
  13. ok this is interesting, so maybe there is a link afterall! i was thinking back to when i was completly gluten free and i can't remember ever worrying about the kp, so i guess it was less then too. and it was only on my arms, since going on gluten again its everywhere! i cant wait to take the stupid blood test so i can go gluten free again! lol alexis
  14. i was wondering if anyone here also has Keratosis Pilaris. you know the red bumpy rash on the backs of your arms? ive had it since i was a teenager, and i was wondering if there was any link to celiac disease? both my sister and mother have it also, but not as severe as i do. they both have some strange symptoms but no diagnosis of celiac disease as of yet...
