  1. I follow your content so your blunt style is not a deal breaker for me. Perhaps we all need a little Sheldon in our lives.
  2. Good luck on the new job. I hope you and your students have a great school year.
  3. Thanks for the links. I haven't explored the flax yet. Something I'll keep on the list. I've followed a paleo/whole 30 like diet for months now only occasionally testing a brand product since I seemed to have a highly reactive immune system post gluten challenge, so I have not ventured into the soup , dairy free cheese sauce arena yet. Hoping to try some...
  4. I keep having your recipes on the to do list. Do you have a direct link? Or just in recipe section? My husband just bought me a dehydrator so I am dehydrating the left over almond pulp after making milk and using food processor to make it into a fine powder. I saw it on pinetrist. I used it for coating squid for homemade calamari as I needed to create a...
  5. All great info everyone. Based on continued pattern my husband suspects I got cc because it's my gluten dark cloud words coming out this week. It's my typical gluten delayed fallout. I have a plethora of symptoms immediate, intermediate, and delayed. I know the company would be very upset/ defensive for me to allude to cc based on gmp' s etc. I'm not naive...
  6. Yes exactly this. I second the motion. My story unfortunately unfolds in a way I went gluten-free out of desperation since my efforts over decades to get help in allopathic medicine failed to connect the gluten /food dots. It was always diagnosed something else. By the time I did my gluten challenge with a Dr. willing to test me , I was very ill from reintroducing...
  7. I am rice light. Reserving it for my gluten-free bread or occasional stir fry. My body is very specific about rice. My joints and muscles say nope not that brand. I can only have the one my body 's Inflammatory process deems ok. My husband and I are not certain of My reaction arsenic, fortification,or geographic location. We quickly determined no fortified...
  8. I am corn intolerant as well. After my gluten challenge I was told to eliminate diet the top 8 known food allergens and I had 8 additional foods that the clinic told me to food trial eliminate as well. 10 months after I'm still milk and corn intolerant along with my gluten. Ironically some of the other problem foods in my diary after investigation had contained...
  9. Oh goodness me so do you guys bother to get histamine level diagnosed or do you just treat it as you did the food diary ? taking note of high histamine time of year/ season and diet into your seasonal food diet? I'm pretty good at rotating foods I've done that longer than I've known about my issues from a nutritional standpoint I rotated which is why until...
  10. Thank you everyone. Jmg & cycling lady sorry for being snippy . I appreciate your help just frustrated. sorry if I am a bit snippy. Not well as you sense. I hate this particular symptom/ reaction. The gluten challenge opened the door to a bunch of symptoms I buried for 3 1/2 gluten-free years that I had no intention of waking again. I now know it...
  11. I get muscle spasms and cramps too. When gluten issues flare it gets annoying. As other posters said magnesium and b vitamins help. Of course when so damaged you don't absorb it is a challenge. As Raven said I get unbelievable back pain / muscle fatigue. Upper back between shoulder blades and lower back which refers the pain to my left hip. Had it 20 plus...
  12. Gemini nailed it! Can you be my Dr? I asked them directly and they did not answer. They wanted me to go have some surgical procedure my insurance would not cover . Sigh thanks for getting it ?
  13. Thanks for the well wishes Jmg. It appears that you & cycling lady think the sugar maybe our issue, let me clarify that's not our issue for it is manifesting as one of our additive intolerance exposure symptoms. One both my son and I have discovered over 2016. It's not a sugar crash type or a gi symptom in our case . But excellent info for consideration...
  14. Thanks Ennis and cycling lady, Ennis thanks for letting me know I'm not alone on the goofy intolerance stuff. cycling lady I'd love an orange tree that must be great to just go pluck one to get your serving. We do fruits regularly here too. I just test the lands of processed land occasionally and apparently the land mines are everywhere. ...
  15. I had to research today from last night's reaction. Never thought oj would be a problem. I see from past posts some have had concerns about orange juice . I've joined the club. Myself and DS are reacting to something in pure premium. Just wanted to share info I found in case one day someone else has this experience. While I can't say it is gluten cc...
  16. They did but their main concern was about the Barrett's they found. so they told my husband that was more important then our celiac concerns. Additionally, the follow up reports I was provided appear to be incomplete. Only the first (bulb) and second (descending) part of the dueodenum are discussed not the 3 and 4. I am confused as to where those details...
  17. Welcome besides JMG's paleo suggestion I also utilize AIP and Whole30 recipes as well. Those 3 can get you started. I've heard others also check out SCD recipes as well. as for flours can you have/use chickpeas, coconut, and almond. Sometimes it easiest in the newly intolerance stage to just avoid flours and baked treats for several weeks. Just focus...
  18. I couldn't finish my gluten challenge past 6 days so the gold standard damage a Dr hope to see was not there, but I felt every bit of it and more. they also spent more time focused on my esophagus and stomach because that was where they saw the most transparent damage. They never gave me my full pathology report just the immediate images /report and...
  19. Hi Gma, I bloat/swell/inflame with the characteristic pregnancy like look too within 30-45 minutes of exposure as well. It as if once it hits my small intestine I feel a huge painful wham of a 2 x 4 with a bunch of fine needles slam down on the first part of my small intestine, I bloat, get shortness of breath, eyes water, I get tired, and my upper...
  20. Hi Freesa, I get numb mostly my upper left arm and my big toes on each foot with gluten and fall out from gluten. 20 years ago of course before I knew of my issues I had a wonderful chiropractor who told me about Epsom salt baths. Prior to that I always loved baths but never took an Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) bath. Once I tried them I was hooked...
  21. Welcome Cheryl IA, I too avoid oats. In fact since childhood I hated oats. I spent 20 years thinking I was IBS, but in 2016 a gi Dr said no that diagnosis was not correct . In fact many former diagnoses were incorrect. I was unable to finish my gluten challenge past day 6, and since then my intolerance s are a plenty. In fact today I determined I can...
  22. Getting pretty heated everyone. Deep breath . Don't forget we are here to help and support one another. You all make valid points that are from each person's experience and perspective. Wise people can decipher the difference and apply all your posts as needed. Hopefully my comment helps to mediate not further inflame the fire. Some are able to take...
  23. I still have difficulty drinking alcohol since my 2016 gluten challenge. I can't even do wine which was just fine and a go to drink prior to challenge. I can't even do watered down wine. My gi tract dislikes every attempt. Not sure if I'll ever be able to imbibe again. I hope things improve for you soon.
  24. Hi fbmb, I thought of you on holiday weekend . As you see the celiac.com community came out in force to help you at this trying time. You found the right place to help get you to the right place. I hope you had good few days of improved mood. Most of all trust your gut will lead you.
