  1. It sounds like they did the blood draw and looked for the big concerns iron and b-12. Since they didn't specifically point one out. I would consider as a patient that to mean I was not deficient and within the normal range value. I'm in the Midwest so before proper diagnosis I was tested and found to be vitamin D deficient. Not unusual K suppose for...
  2. In addition to both scopes for gluten issues. I was tested for IgE mediated food allergies, environmental allergeans, and asthma. I also completed food dairy/logs under Dr care for food intolerances including food ingredients/additives. Allergies/asthma run on my maternal side. Celiac/gluten intolerance on paternal side ( revealed through my cousin and myself...
  3. Sorry OP I have a question for CL- I respect you don't like processed food which I agree a supplement would be by definition. I am confused as I am under the impression supplements are regulated by the FDA. https://www.fda.gov/consumers/consumer-updates/dietary-supplements Can you explain why they are not regulated by the FDA if they say they...
  4. I don't typically see certified gluten-free on many vitamin companies labels . I do see they say gluten free, but not certified. I do occasional see this logo listed, but not often https://gfco.org On the above link you can scroll down to input vitamins Below is a link and excerpt you may find helpful: Gluten-Free Labeling...
  5. Thank you for the offer. I must decline similar to CL , I have other intolerances.
  6. Wow unbelievable. Cycling lady have excellent info. I just wanted to stop in thread and say welcome Debra. I wish your grand daughter well.
  7. Welcome Wendy. Have you seen the 101 threads? This is where the site starts those new to the diet. In short summary stick to whole foods. Produce aisle vegetables, fruit, and meats. You can add in gluten free processed treats in frozen, packaged, and can/box aisles once the immune system settles down a bit. It can be overwhelming and most people go...
  8. Wow. Clearly I am in the right forum.
  9. IBS was one of the first things I got diagnosed with Ditto 23 years later.... I'm here
  10. Common Symptoms of Non-Celiac Gluten Sensitivity plus more Bloating, gas or abdominal pain Diarrhea or constipation Nausea Headache Brain fog Joint pain Numbness in the legs, arms or fingers Fatigue https://www.beyondceliac.org/celiac-disease/non-celiac-gluten-sensitivity/symptoms/celiac My additional symptoms...
  11. After my gluten challenge I grew intolerant to other foods and additives/ingrediants. At that time I found I could no longer consume sodas. If this occurs some people are later able to tolerate foods again, some of us are not. It's unique for each of us. As Admin said most Celiac's , DH and NCGS can drink soda.
  12. 2 years 4 months. Other health problems came out after the gluten intolerance "white noise" settled. So for me symptoms overlap, but those I consider my gluten issues took me over 2 years.
  13. My last cc incident I had the rash flare for 7 weeks. Unfortunately always lasts longer than I would like. My orthostatic intolerance also gets triggered by gluten cc and a variety of other triggers that extends the fatigue cycle. So for me fatigue and lightheadedness can last for quite some time as both get triggered. I must stay hydrated and usually...
  14. My body after the gluten challenge had problems with additives, fillers, stabilizers etc. even if gluten free. I had to keep a food dairy. If I got muscle aches, joint pain, flushing or other symptoms of inflammation from a product I put it on the do not eat list. I noted which ingredients were a problem and avoided those. I kept my additive list to the...
  15. I can attest Floroquinolone are awful. I was prescribed Cipro in the early 1990s when info like what you have offered here was not available. I only took it that one time. I told Dr's after that I reacted to it. Who knows how much of my ANS/CNS is related to Cipro not celiac.
  16. In time you can explore gluten-free pastas that may work for you. It will not be nonna'shomemade handmade noodles . I have read some celiacs make their own fresh homemade gluten-free noodles. I have even worked through a bunch of recipes to find a gluten-free pizza crust the family likes. I did a pesto with white beans too that was quite good. As...
  17. Congratulations on the one month! I hope the nutritionist gives you some hints and guidance to help you accomplish your employment goals sooner than later.
  18. It is unfortunate this happened to you. Now years later your frustration and anger comes through. How challenging and hurtful to you. From you description they were quite dismissive to you. I commend the love your parents have/had for you to sacrifice to insure your safety during high school by sending a safe meal. I know some school districts have a...
  19. As a teen I loved roller coasters. I was just recently diagnosed with orthostatic intolerance/hypotension, but have been likely dealing with that since 2008. I think The OI is why I no longer like rides.
  20. I got cc by fish in the past. It is an item we buy monthly. It was from a store we normally use. When I asked our forum members they explained sometimes a one off can occur. I was shocked as it was safe before. They wereright. Thankfully since then no cc, the product, and store has been fine since. In April I got cc by fresh produce Brussel sprouts from...
  21. In am so glad to hear you all found out. Amazing. I hope the 17 yo has a turn around soon. Best wishes.
  22. If you are concerned about her verbal communication expression you can ask your Dr if she should be evaluated by a speech therapist. At two they are still emerging, but if your Dr hasn't mentioned a referral she is progressing as expected. Most public school district will evaluate them before or early in kindergarten.
  23. I do not own one. This was a more recent thread on it.
  24. Whole foods not the store/retailer ( I shop several places) but see link below https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/processed-foods/
