  1. I wanted to add that I don't mean all of the last posts or every part of them, just some parts of some of them- to me- seem a bit harsh and possibly inappropriate. Thanks.
  2. I was not planning on posting on this forum anymore, but still read here occasionally. I've been following this thread somewhat and have been really feeling for this guy and hoping very much that he will find some answers and feel better very soon. I am just a little startled at these last comments however and feel they are a bit much and really too harsh...
  3. I am very sick right now and the only thing I did differently the last few days was eat Trader Joes Gluten Free whole wheat bread for 2 days. I admit I ate 4-6 slices each day. I have had one slice here and there before but I never ate more than that at once. Since early morning I have been vomitting, headache/pains, swollen eyelids and stomach pains, gurgling...
  4. Here's what I was looking for. Open Original Shared Link and here's one more linking it to IBS symtoms Open Original Shared Link
  5. I get very ill from annatto. Obviously not everyone does and Ennis uses it in vegan cheese. But this Australian site for the Failsafe diet for children focuses on eliminating additives that affect them. Annatto is natural and they started using it in more products recently instead of an artificial color. However, it is something that causes some to have reactions...
  6. Open Original Shared Link This is gluten free and further down in the comments are some ideas for adding chicken or other ingredients that sound kind of nice.
  7. Hi Pegleg, I wanted to share this with you. I tried a Japanese sweet potato for the first time the other night. Maybe you already know (I seem to be behind everything) but they are a deep red on the outside and white on the inside. They are definitely sweet potatoes, and do have that sweet potato taste but it's much milder (in my opinion) and what's...
  8. Ennis, That is just diabolical and twisted. What a horrid person. How awful for you. I'm so glad for you he's leaving. I don't even know what to say except that's just evil.
  9. I just don't feel it's anybody's business what you do or don't eat or even why. Unless it's a trusted friend, family member or doctor or health professional it's really nobody's business. If someone acts aggressively about the food you eat then why even be around them period, because they are going to have the same abusive attitude about lots of other things...
  10. Hi Kareng, No I haven't been diagnosed with Celiac. I think it was 5 years ago I kept telling my doctor that I had chronic diarrhea and loose stools and for some reason they kept laughing at me and telling me it was normal and because I ate a lot of vegetables. I was reacting to certain natural face lotions too and breaking out in hives or bright red...
  11. Pinkygurl I'd love to have something that I can use as a basic structure for what I'm doing. So far I'd only found things that were just about salicylates, or just about oxalates, or histamine, etc so I was trying to put all that together along with what doesn't make me very sick. I'm having a problem with milk and cheese at the moment and later I might...
  12. Ennis_Tx, Thank you very much for this information. I'm so sorry I'm only answering now but I just went through a difficult time with food reactions, well you know how it goes. Now I'm able to focus a bit more & can take in and really appreciate this information. I used to love nuts and seeds but started reacting to many of them but I still could...
  13. Yes you have to be really careful because a lot of Asian food (noodles, sauces) does have wheat, but you can use the rice noodles and "glass" noodles. I'm hoping there will be some in the store that are labelled gluten free because you still have to be careful where things are processed. I think on the newbie page there are some food substitution suggestions...
  14. Overnight Chia Seed Pudding (Omit or change anything to suit you. I probably personally wouldn't add a sweetener at all except for fruit, maybe berries. You can just do the chia seeds and milk of some kind and add fruit in the morning~ especially if you want something really mild to start with. By the way I'm new to this so not sure if chia seeds are...
