  1. I had 2 blood tests at the same time. One negative, one positive. No insurance coverage for endoscopy but felt MUCH MUCH better after three days gluten-free and many hair, skin, and rash issues cleared or improved in a week. It seems there are lots of false negatives in Celiac blood tests.
  2. I don't absorb magnesium much orally. After a LOT of research I opted for magnesium and other shots about every 6 weeks. When restless legs symptoms worsen I know I am overdue for a shot. Bone tests decades ago were great. 66 now, diagnosed about 15 years ago and just had a DEXA hip and spine test, and it could have been better.
  3. Thanks Scott, The hay was all I could think of causing a problem and good to know others have had the same problem. Since we feed alfalfa and wheat on alternate days, I am just feeding on the alfalfa days and the eyelid rash is much better.
  4. Some years we have had problems with hay mites. Too small to see, but had us keeping a can of bug spray by the haystack to use before handling hay. It was either wheat or oat hay, don't remember which, but affected the whole family, not just me with celiac.
  5. It is fall feeding time and feeding 6 bales of wheat hay a day. Now I have eyelid rash and other rashes. It is hot and dry, so easy for hay dust to get in the air. Especially if a cow grabs a flake and shakes it by me. And we are feeding up the last of leftover hay from last year which has some mouse damage. I think I am going to need someone else to feed...
  6. Getting a monthly injection of B12, magnesium, and folate has been a big help. Usually called a recharge shot at naturopathic type doctors offices. My restless legs getting worse tells me it's time to get a shot.
  7. I had 2 different celiac tests from the same blood draw. One negative and one positive. Test again is if it seems warranted. I was really sick for 2 years, and unwell before that. I keep thinking what if I had only had the one test that was negative. I felt much better in 3 days of being gluten free, but years for the dermatitis hepataphoris, I know I misspelled...
  8. All ideas need to be talked about and studied. So glad this site is open to the exchange of questions and ideas without an agenda. The censorship and calling ideas sometimes found true misinformation is one of the scariest aspects of that has come out of Covid. Government sems unable to even produce reliable information. Not separating flu and Covid death...
  9. Last time I looked the Stagg Steakhouse Reserve, the only Stagg chili sold at Costco, had wheat. Keep hoping Costco would stock a gluten-free Stagg chili, we like them all. They sometimes have Amy's but the whole family greatly prefers Stagg.
  10. A lot of celiac sufferers have restless legs. Coffee and especially diet soda greatly worsen my RLS.
  11. Try magnesium shots. Restless legs is a big problem for me and a once a month shot allows me to stay at a low prescription dose. A relative had to get B 12 shots as she could not absorb B 12 from supplements. I get both about once a month. Oral magnesium helped a little but I need shots.
