  1. I’ve had anxiety and OCD tendencies since childhood. Rapid heartbeat, racing thoughts, irritability. I happened to have a friend at work who’s dad has celiac. She suggested gluten free and once I committed, I felt immediately better. All the symptoms were magically gone and I just couldn’t believe it. I’ve been eating gluten free for 2 years and it absolut...
  2. I’m in a very similar situation. My doctor made me feel stupid and said “if you feel better, don’t eat it” and so I never pushed for testing. It’s been 2 years now, and I’d like to be tested because I’d like to know if I’m damaging my body with cross contamination or a hidden gluten source. It’s a personal decision, but for me, I’d rather the diagnosis. Good...
  3. Hi:) I went gluten free over a year ago after I had many celiac symptoms. I feel amazing and decided not to get tested, but I’m rethinking that now. My thinking now is that I’d like to be able to know I’m not causing any damage and not knowing. I’d like to know I’m healthy for sure, and that I’m doing well avoiding cross contamination also. 4. I Believe they are saying they experience these symptoms when exposed to gluten. I agree with seeking help and would never dissuade anyone from doing so.
  5. You aren’t alone, I’ve had a huge difference in anxiety and depression since going gluten free, and have since met others like me. https://www.everydayhealth.com/columns/therese-borchard-sanity-break/gluten-depression-and-anxiety-gut-brain-link/
  6. I have not been diagnosed celiac, but I can tell you that after going gluten free 8 months ago, my panic attacks have diminished about 80%. I have psoriasis and haven't had an outbreak since. You have to keep eating gluten in order to be tested so keep that in mind. Good luck, you are definitely not alone here.
  7. I have had them for 20 years. I tried gluten free as a last resort and after a week I noticed a huge change. No more constant rapid ❤ beat was the first thing. I've been getting better and better over the last 6 months, and feel like this was such a miracle. Let me ask you, do you have any other symptoms? I have terrible skin problems but no stomache issues. ...
  8. Magnesium really helped with my anxiety issues. I never get a full fledged panic attack since going gluten-free 7 months ago. I still get uneasy at times, and magnesium does wonders.
  9. I've never been diagnosed with DH, but get a rash that feels like burning match heads in the bottoms of my feet that lasts for weeks. I found applying apple cider vinegar to the area helps, and I second the benzocaine too.
