  1. If I need to lose weight, I don't do avocados as they have lots of calories. Good fats though, but I love them and want to eat a whole one. What works for me when I need to lose is to eat Whole Foods such as fruits, veggies and fresh meats and eggs. Go easy on things like rice and dairy, if you can tolerate them. Drink lots of fresh water and make sure...
  2. While you are waiting for your blood results and still eating gluten, you don't need to eat lots and lots. Just 2 pieces of bread are enough per day. No need to go too crazy, lol! Of course, this may be some of your last days to eat all those toll house cookies and pop tarts! (Glutino makes a gluten-free pop tart that tastes like cardboard.)
  3. I've never used play doh (expensive to purchase for hundreds of kids) as a supply in my art room, but certainly paint and glue is plentiful. I had no earthly idea about gluten being in paint and glue!
  4. That's great your asthma is gone! Mine disappeared at some point but I can't recall ATM if it was before or after going gluten-free. My oldest son was on a bunch of things when he was small including singulair and advair, and it definitely affected his stature. But he probably would have died without them, his asthma was so bad.
  5. FYI I stopped the apples, but kept eating the raisins that were in the trail mix I make up from scratch. No other fruit have I been eating. Big D gone. As soon as I stopped the apples. Not sure what this proves though.
  6. Where is the best place to purchase the Liquid Health supplements? I saw them on amazon but didn't know if that was a good price.
  7. I've never heard of an inhaler given for sleep apnea, but I'm happy it worked for you! I was never aware of my own severe sleep apnea. It was my husband who told me I would stop breathing for periods of time and gasp to start breathing again. So I went for a sleep study and I was having 60 episodes an hour. The Cpap Helped a lot with increased alertness....
  8. Thai kitchen rice noodles- usually cheaper than typical gluten-free brands, and so easy to cook.
  9. Ok I see. I didn't know that about Lyme disease. I absolutely hate ticks- I had rocky mt spotted fever that finally got diagnosed almost too late.
  10. Just curious, if you are asymptomatic, what made you go gluten-free originally?
  11. If blood is positive they'll want to do another endo. So stay on gluten.
  12. Which tests? Blood or endoscopy? Because you need to be on gluten for both to be accurate.
  13. Skip it if you don't ever want to eat gluten again. It will be a waste of time and money.
  14. Welcome. If it is celiac, going gluten-free will be your cure. But don't do that yet. You've got to wait till all the testing is over. After the blood test results there may be another test, an endoscopy, to look at the upper gi area. And you need to be eating gluten for that. Its terrible you are in so much pain. Before I went gluten-free, I was...
  15. When you were young, did your cpap machine not control your sleep apnea well? What did your apnea doctor say or do for you when you had these severe episodes? I've never heard of anyone having such a hard time after Their diagnosis and treatment!
  16. Production of Citric Acid by Aspergillus Niger Using Oat Bran as Substrate https://www.ripublication.com/ijcce_spl/ijccev3n3spl_09.pdf
  17. Or a hurricane club. Irma is coming straight at me!
  18. Well I guess I meant that my sense of humour is at a 3 year old's level.
  19. I know, right!? It's crazy! I told my husband I want a fecal transplant from him as his insides are so much healthier than mine. He just gave me a look though.
  20. Glad you found a good one! I just saw the brand Schar in my store. Has anyone tried their pizza crust? It's not frozen nor refrigerated.
  21. Click on your name. That'll take you to your profile. Then see how there's a tab for Clubs on the right side.
  22. Omg, I totally forgot about this! My fingers at the joints were getting a bit wonky- arthritisy looking when I was in my late 30's. I didn't have arthritis, they were just starting to look very odd. I've always thrown on the potters wheel so I thought it may have to do with that. That's also where I thought my dh was coming from - clay. Anyway, after going...
